This is not the best part of the firing, but it’s in the Top 10.
The trend shift in adults per family household is so insane.
its even more insane that every important policymaker and economist thought we were slowly soaking up a glut of homes even into the 2010s.
And it’s even more insane that there are still supply-crisis skeptics today.

If implemented, Washington's second and third largest cities would have both beat Seattle to eliminating parking mandates.
pretty incredible to wake up and find myself and @stephenjacobsmith.com in the @nytimes.com talking about better and more cost effective housing with point access blocks (single stair apartment buildings)

“Every neighborhood deserves places for community members to gather, buy essential goods, create art together and build a community...” [said] @sngreenways.bsky.social, @futurewise.bsky.social, & the Greater Seattle Business Association. Those groups’ [Seattle legislation] was ultimately successful"
I remember living in a state that cared about climate change.
Attending day 2 of a conference about sidewalk data. Here’s a path in NW Queen Anne to frequent bus, on an arterial, to the ship canal bike path that has been a known incomplete problem for years that the city needs to just take over already. @seattledot.bsky.social
My pie in the sky dream of turning golf courses into housing and public access parks 🤝 yours of bike connections through them
A good reminder of the great story the Stranger did last summer showing that in fact a 0.05% BAC is enough to make you too impaired to drive!

Major milestone! ✨
Applauding @ggwash.org on a strong hearing yesterday for a bill they co-wrote this session in MD. The Bring Back Main Street Act turns vacant offices & malls into vibrant homes close to the things that matter.
