Ohio just gutted voting rights. Gov. DeWine signed SB 293, quietly rewriting election law to throw out valid ballots and make voting more precarious, especially by mail. It’s blatant voter suppression and about shrinking the electorate.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s statement: Marjorie Taylor Greene's amendment does nothing to cut off offensive aid to Israel nor end the flow of US munitions being used in Gaza. Of course I voted against it. What it does do is cut off defensive Iron Dome capacities while allowing the actual bombs killing Palestinians to continue. I have long stated that I do not believe that adding to the death count of innocent victims to this war is constructive to its end. That is a simple and clear difference of opinion that has long been established. I remain focused on cutting the flow of US munitions that are being used to perpetuate the genocide in Gaza.
I see the misinformation machine is kicking up to support Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Israel amendment.
Advocates have a responsibility to be clear about what legislation does and doesn’t do. Her amendment did NOT cut off offensive aid to Israel. We shouldn’t pretend it does.
My statement on it:
They tried to control the narrative, but the numbers don’t lie.
📊 79% of Americans now say immigration is a good thing. That’s the highest percentage ever recorded.
And it didn’t happen because politicians changed their minds.
It happened because we kept speaking up.
