I know. I know. So many guidelines, so much “training” prior to conducting a search, but when the powerful decide to throw the guidelines out the window, well so be it.

In interesting timing, I took the fair hiring training yesterday. You know, the explicit policies for reviewing & documenting qualifications of every applicant for the entry-level job on my team, so that I do not replicate the old boy's network.
I don't know what made me think of that. Hard to say.
