My guitar i built. It was based on J5's telecaster. I burnt the electronics with a soldering iron. It plays in tune, tho.

My simplified origin story of how I got into music subculture: moved from the south to Colorado in 7th grade. Nerdy kid, relentlessly picked on. Only people who were nice were the grunge/druggy kids. So, that became my scene and context and from there it shifted into punk, etc.

My grandfather loved, what is now called, Outlaw Country... Waylon, Willie and the boys. That led me to punk....Ramones, Sex Pistols..
