I can only run in so many directions: John Muir at night, Octavia Butler and PK Dick mornings over Earl(y) Grey, and "poppy" Bradbury at noon? #Ilovereading ... but I can't write 3 books in my trilogy simultaneously any more than I visit all potential parallel realities while making a good deep dish

As an #author, I'd rather have "too similar" than "didn't move me." I mean, Roxane's a great essayist, (better than I), but is "too similar" harsh for a short story collection, which by itself is no small feat? Would she levy that criticism about "The October Country" or "Bloodchild?"
