Unfortunately there isn't a single 3d printer company that isn't going to tell you to fix it yourself. It's kinda the crux of being in a very diy community. It sucks you got a dud but it could happen with any company.

Bambu is kinda the current gold standard. If you get a p1s or p2s it's a solid works out of the box fully enclosed printer. If you don't need enclosed then the a1 is a great starter. Prusa is my next recommendation but they're usually more expensive for the same quality as bambu.

And how I long for the early 90s late 80s aesthetic for it's absolute carefree absurdism. Evening now is a shitty beige box. Give me the days of neon and expression and fun any day!

Well your first step is to get a printer. Recommendation kinda depends on your budget, but the bambu a1 and the bambu p2s are currently the gold standard.

Oh yeah, now I have an air purifier with uv, am exhaust fan, and the charcoal filter.

Yeah I didn't know just how harsh this stuff was when I first got into it. For my first print I set it up in my basement and just let it rip. The whole house wreaked. None of the videos I watched on it mentioned the toxic fumes just the poison touch.

Those are a God send. Keep it in a well ventilated area and get a room air filter too.
