Watching it being built from the vantage point of the building opposite, I must say it feels like it's gone up impressively quickly. Definitely better than what was on the site previously, too.
Finally, a stunning morning, and a great day to be at Fowlmere for my Advanced UPRT course with the British Aerobatic Academy. Thankfully I managed to avoid turning the Grob 115D into a vomit comet, but I've never been so pleased to be back on the ground. Great course and instructor nonetheless!
It's certainly making running along the Kennet towpath a bit tricky at the moment (just south of Katesgrove on Sunday)
County Lock is basically the same level on both sides now ๐ฌ
Saw plenty in Pangbourne and Whitchurch (West Berks/South Oxon) last weekend. I must get the apple trees pruned before it's too late!

Although very belated news, delighted to have passed my Commercial Pilot's Licence back at the end of September on a windless gin-clear day from @blackbushe.bsky.social, despite some more interesting weather on some of the training days. UPRT booked for February, APS MCC for March. Can't wait!
@octopus.energy I plugged my car in to charge this evening and after two hours of charging at peak rate (ouch!) and the Porsche app showing that it's charging (i.e. I assume when you poke their API it tells you the same thing), the Octopus app still says the car is unplugged. What gives?
A short flight down to the excellent Goodwood Aerodrome today in the sunshine, and onward to the @wealddownmuseum.bsky.social which I last visited about 35 years ago on a primary school trip. Super airfield, and an enjoyable and memory-evoking museum visit. #avgeek #aviation
Picked up the aircraft from Solent Airport after a super avionics and A/P upgrade from Bournemouth Avionics and took her over to EGMC for some holds and an ILS. Weather thankfully just allowed us to get back home rather than going to Oxford - I was pretty tired after 3 hours!

Photo of the old panel before an avionics and A/P upgrade that's now well under way. Can't wait for it to be completed!
A brief lunch visit to the ever-beautiful
Alderney, with some blazing sunshine in the cruise in contrast to the grey, overcast day below. I also seem to have found somebody like me with a penchant for hedge trimming! Another great meal at The Georgian House.
