Oh, hey, it's that time of the year for that old Cadbury Creme Egg commercial to start running on TV again. I bet even the tortoise is dead by now.

Just contemplating making a petition to change the Duolingo owl to some sort of bunny. Bad idea?
What an incredibly unfortunate time to find out what a mistake it was to unfollow Ken Jennings a few months back (not active enough). I'd add him again but it just feels wrong since I've given up Jeopardy for the foreseeable future.
Prayers answered.
Does anyone else remember when you used to see FEMA personnel on the ground when you saw all that footage of communities affected by the natural disaster du jour?
Here's some advice for these trying times. When I go shopping, I budget in for a little extra bag of beans, a little extra tin of coffee or a little extra tank of crickets.
Brain: Beer before liquor, never sicker.
Self: Yeah, I know, but I literally started on this pack of peanut butter stout fifteen minutes ago and these are only liquor-filled chocolates.
Brain: ...Two great tastes that taste great together.
Self: Exactly! Glad you see it my way.
An accurate raptor would be about two feet tall wouldn't it?
Apparently my cat doesn't like listening to Tindersticks. Seems to be a big club but I ain't in it.
I've been drinking too much eggnog.
Like, if we just take Elmo's story at face value and don't assume he's Christmas Keyser Soze, at best, he's probably doomed to a "Bonnie Hunt at the beginning of Jumanji" level of hermitude after this incident.
"Grandma got run over by a reindeer, walking home from our house Christmas Eve. You can say there's no such thing as Santa but, as for me and Grandpa, we believe."
This song becomes even darker when you come to realize Elmo is singing it from an interrogation room.
Ah shit, there's actually people on Bluesky now? I guess I'll have to think of better content than just reposting Bodega Cats, huh?
Good looking food on good looking dishes, Emi. I hope it was easier for you this year.
Going on about hour forty-five of a first snow power outage. Would you say it goes well with the Linda Linda's new one? ;)
FWIW, it is on my list. I'm too anal to just listen to one new album these days. I gather around five to ten on my days off and make a day of it. I'm holding out for Kim Deal's new one because it seems like a good day to slot in the Linda Linda's album. I'm up for more suggestions in the meantime.
And definitely get on FP2 already, Jeff!
It's really addictive once you get to the meatier puzzles and very much an easy to pick up and easy to put down game. I don't see why an iPad would be any real downgrade. The controls are simple and intuitive enough. Just come to terms with the fact that you're never going to finish the game tho.
Stitch by a country mile.
Animal Well
... So, those are the indies I played that released this year. If you want to excuse a late port, you could add Freedom Planet 2 which I'd rank higher than Animal Well too. I just started The Plucky Squire tonight so that's a promising development.
Decided to log back on here and give this another shot. So far, I found three people on the distant edges of my gaming/gameshow social circle who had a similar thought within the last month so hi, folks.
