Wow yeah it would be so cool if there were like some mecha in this universe damn !
Stonesaga's mechanics-in-art approach would never have worked without a fantastic illustrator who could think like a game designer. If you're interested, give my interview with the awesome Andrea Koroveshi a read!

The Cosmere RPG's conversation system is something that was very important to the design team. Here's my update as Consulting Designer on why the Mistborn RPG book was the perfect place to expand further on this key system!

I think it will feel sufficiently fantastical to be fun!
The box for Stonesaga and its two expansions.
Your new game just showed up @maxcbrooke.bsky.social!!!
Given Stonesaga's setting, do you think a paleolithic archaeologist like @samscansstuff.bsky.social will get into it, or is it going to feel too much like work for her? ๐
You could tell similar stories about a game of Magic or Riftbound, but there's something about Sorcery's use of physical space in the grid and their top-down card designs that make these stories *feel* more real and emergent.
A Island Leviathan punches a Draconian Bonekite in the face.
Teaching @maxcbrooke.bsky.social Sorcery. He had me pinned with a massive bone dragon and I saved myself by awakening a living island that had lay dormant since the beginning of the game.
I love this game.
That @afischergames.bsky.social won this game by flooding my necromancer's final holdout in a stronghold full of traps and skeletons (classic adventurer move) was really the cherry on top.
I'm extremely impressed with what the folks behind Sorcery are doing with expressing theme in card games!

Happy (almost) Valentine's Day! This year, we are putting the spotlight on platonic friendship! Because sometimes your fellow adventurer is more than a traveling companion or friend. Sometimes they're a bro.

Now that it's starting to reach backers, I wanted to look back at the distant origins of Stonesaga. Step inside for reminiscence on bygone mechanics, discussion of game design versus product design, and (of course) yet more crude doodles!

If you have a gallery of 3d models somewhere, DM or drop it my way!
Correct.
Yeah, let's chat!
The concept art designs are very much toward the 'accurate armor details applied to a fantastical concept' end of the spectrum - while the shape of the mech isn't exactly that of a human, the armor pieces set atop the frame are intended to be recognizably historical in shape.
This would be renders for use in 3d printing, eventually.
A Royal Guard Bloodwarden from Station Forge with a space Luger and giant broadsword. They are in grimy plate armor with brown leathers beneath and have a cool hat with bright red feathers sticking out of it. The skirt and ragged cape are an experiment with glazing using the blue greens flex triad from Army Painter

These would probably be more modular.
Please do!
3D renders for use as scale miniatures. Ideally 3D print ready (or close to it).
If you've got a good place to view your work, let me know and I'll take a look!
3d render, in this case.
Always happy to get a recommendation from you, @bryantfrancis.me!
Hello!
I'm looking for a 3d sculptor who loves the fiddly details of both giant robots and 15th century Milanese armor. If that's you (or you know anyone who you think would be interested), reach out to me and let's chat about this project!

This is great!
With Stonesaga closer than ever to being in people's hands, I have a couple of blog posts planned to illuminate a bit of the game's design history. Here's the first: the importance of rudimentary doodles in my creative process!
