I don't find sarcastic comments about beating people with a bag of rocks funny or acceptable.
We are dealing with to much violence in our society right now to normalize this kind of rhetoric.

Drush's Final Act
Interesting proposal to make drush obsolete.
"My end goal here is the death of Drush. It has served an incredibly long and useful life. Its death will be its most impactful and generous act."

I like to check in from time to time to see how the Timberwolves were doing on this date last year.
Here is where I find the info.

On February 22, 2025 - The Timberwolves were in 8th place (on Feb 24th, they would move up to 7th place).
Their record was: 31-26
Today they are 35-23 and it 6th place (just 1.5 games out of 3rd place).

Sunset on a mountain with lots of peaks, reflected in a wet flat black sand beach. The right hand section of the mountain is bathed in pink sunset light. Heavy vignetting.
Also on this day in 2020, a lovely sunset at one of the coolest ever beaches.

U2 has now also released a song directly referencing Minneapolis and Renee Good.

I don't need to argue this further. It's your opinion, fine.
But, I hope that I don't see widespread adoption of this kind of judgement and condemnation, because I think it would set back the opposition and create unnecessary fractions in what is a growing positive movement towards change.
In fact, it's the willingness of the RIGHT to call names and ostracize people who could be allies but are not judged pure enough that offends my values.
Klobuchar is not alone in the positions she took. If we define all of her supporters as "collaborators" we severely weaken the movement.
There a tons of legimiate criticisms of Amy. I agree. I'm not suggesting that you need to support her in future elections or that she should not be criticized.
I am saying that I'm not attracted to movements that lightly throw around terms like collaborator and traitor.
@danmarstp.marshallwords.com - Are all Klobuchar supporters "collaborators"?
If Amy is a collaborator/traitor, is it our obligation to give up on working with her?
If words have meaning, I don't know what meaning you give this word and how seriously you have thought about the implications.
You cite things that you think she should have done, but didn't do.
When we start defining "collaboration" as the things people didn't do, we start to cast a pretty wide net for collaborators.
In my view we weaken our overall movement rather than making it stronger.
I looked up the meaning of collaborator.
"A person who works jointly on an activity or project."
"A person who cooperates traitorously with an enemy. A defector."
It seems to me, that the meaning of collaborator is to actively work with the opposition. To take actions to support their cause.
This kind of rhetoric, doesn't leave much room for folks to change positions or groups to come together in the future.
Am I a "collaborator" for disagreeing with you or recognizing both achievments along with disappointments in how Senator Klobuchar has managed her position?
How is this helpful?
Whether you like it or not, Amy is a political leader in this state and public accusations of "collaboration" spill over and both tarnish and insult the people around her and the many folks who hold more nuanced views of tactics.
It's one thing to oppose her tactics in this very difficult battle, to pressure her to do better, or to support opposing candidates. These are all great ways to express your frustration.
But, don't quite see the case for "collaborator", nor do I find it constructive in building a movement.
I get the anger and frustration at Senator Klobuchar, thought I don't agree with it 100%. But, do we really need to start throwing around the "Collaborator" accusation. It's very harsh!
Are the 100's of thousands of voters likely to vote for her in the next election also "collaborators"?
Todays act of defiance is to watch this video and make sure it's the most watch clip on Youtube this month.

Apparently, late night talk shows can't interview political candidates without adhering to the equal time rule, but right wing talk radio can - according to Brendan Carr.
Here is the interview that CBS and Brendan Carr don't want you to see.

Best way to get me interested in a segment of a late night talk show, is to have FCC chair Brendan Carr tell me that I can't watch it.

I think that most Minnesotans understand:
1) That ending the ICE surge does not end ICE presence or activity in Minnesota. It just goes back to pre-surge levels.
2) That the surge is just moving elsewhere in USA to disrupt other communities.
3) This is not over.

"As many as 1,400 people were killed during 2024's weekslong anti-government protests, most at the hands of security forces, according to the UN."
Today Bangladesh is having their first election since that violence.

Many of the worst dictatorships in history were born from leftist ideology.
I hope we can keep that in mind as we try to dig ourselves out of this mess we are in and that we are thoughtful and cautious about what comes next.
Supposedly this video has 180K views, which can't be correct. I must have watched it close to 100k times myself.

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paulβan hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.
