That’s the worst part. We know what these companies are doing beyond higher ed and it’s repressive.

Chaos agent. 🤣
I’m not going to conduct the practices that I have students critique in class. What would I look like?
I just don’t think the remedy for making sure students are actually writing is more and more surveillance. To an extent, we just have to trust them. Sorry. 😬
A lot of people think “surely nobody wants to fuck someone they think is subhuman,” and these people need to be taught about the concept of heterosexual men.
I refuse to tell those stories because they’ll have a field day.
The disapproving face I gave.
It was junior year, but still.
Let me tell y’all how one of my students lit me up today. I told them to stop looking at their phones (they’re addicted), and I said they used to tell folks to leave the class if they couldn’t get off their phone. One of them said but you didn’t have iPhones in college. Yes we did! I’m not ancient.
Noem would be a damn fool to stay in that BS position they gave her. She should hide for the future of her freedom.
We did this one in class today on a whim!
It's becoming a semester tradition of having to tell a student that they need to conduct themselves better in class. It's an annoying trend.
From an administration that's been quite adamant about not apologizing and not taking accountability, it's a BIG deal that Noem was fired. The walls are closing.
Lmao. University sponsored plagiarism. I love it.
Yep! I think of a lot of them think it was a history test (which is still illegal), but nope. I use the test from this link.https://jimcrowmuseum.ferris.edu/question/2012/pdfs-docs/literacytest.pdf
Apparently, at Senate meeting at UAlbany, one person argued it was racism. Just throwing shit at the wall.
It's my favorite class exercise day. When I have my students take a literacy test. "I would pass it!" I always tell them no because the point is for the person to fail.
It’s been talked about in the media in fairly neutral terms. I assume because he’s a former Navy SEAL, but that makes it worse.
A United States Senator attacking a protestor seems like a bad thing to me.
A lot of times when it seems that kids are unsure about themselves, it’s mostly because they are trying to fit what their parents’ expectations, not an inability to understand who they are.
Why is it in quotes that a kid knows who they are? Most kids are pretty damn self-aware, even with immaturity, especially if they are old enough to tell you how they identify and who they are attracted to. No one questions straight kids or cisgender kids.
They are justifying this war based on things that happened before I, a 38 year old man, was born.
A core problem in the body politic is that Republicans will only dare to be honest about how they feel about what they are seeing from the administration when they are retiring and no longer relevant to their party.
Spanish PM Sánchez responds to Trump:
"Spain is against this disaster... Govts are here to improve people's lives... It is absolutely unacceptable that those leaders who are unable to fulfill that mission use the smoke of war to hide their failure, and in the process, fill the pockets of a few."
As soon as I submit my manuscript to this journal, I’m going to spend far too much money to play Resident Evil Requiem. I can’t wait.
😭😭😭😭😭😭 In Nebraska?!
Nah, it’s bad. My not be the worst, inexcusably bad.
I need the city of Albany to realize that they don’t have to wait until the last snowflake to drop to start plowing and salting. Grrr
I can feel the anxiety seeing this message.
It’s not funny but I chuckled. Whaaaaat?
