one thing that doesn't change for me as an author is the thrill of seeing a new five star rating or review on my books. One of my goals for the near future is to see at least my first book finally hit 100 ratings/reviews (since it's the closest to that number) #writersky

generally, i will very quickly grab books I see if they're available on kobo first, because I have the membership. If it's an audiobook, I'm grabbing it and starting it right away. that way you make money even though I didn't spend extra money, just my monthly membership #booksky

I get excited for the first edit of a new project, at least when it's someone else's project. If I'm implementing edits in my own, I'm not excited until I'm done #WeeknightWriters

in my own edits, I don't really fear them. I just glance first at how much red is in the document to get an idea of how much I'm going to have to change. For others, my only concern is whether the author takes criticism/suggestions well #WeeknightWriters

honestly i just don't really like instagram. never really have. i have it, it exists and i have a few followers but i don't care for it

at this point, I want to focus on writing. I'm so far into one of my projects and the end is in sight, meaning soon it'll be time to get it over to my editor and planning for the first new release of the year. I'm at my capacity with social media accounts

if i see one more post telling us authors we can't sleep on whatever other trash ass app. Listen here, I just barely have enough energy for here and TikTok. I forget I have instagram and while i started threads, it's not my primary place. I'm maxed out on social media apps damn it so take what i got

so for the past couple of days, I've been seeing authors saying their KDP accounts are being closed. Has there been any info on what BS reason Amazon is giving for closing their accounts at this point? It seems to be happening a lot and mostly to authors who solely use their platform #writersky

kinda hate when someone buys a book and then returns it. Like how did you buy the book and have it for half a day, then return it? You can't return it after a certain point so like....did you buy it and read the sample after, then return it?
