It reached mid-30s in Tokyo and 28Β° in Sapporo today, but over here in Hakodate it peaked at a cool 24Β°. This time of year I'm so thankful we got out of Kanto. (Ask me again in January though πŸ˜…)

Even if you truly believe that this stuff is amazing and life changing because you are the most credulous person alive, the revenues are absolute dogshit, have always been absolute dogshit, and are only dwarfed by how dogshit they are by how expensive this stuff is to run. A joke of an industry.

Commits Β· tagomoris/ruby The Ruby Programming Language. Contribute to tagomoris/ruby development by creating an account on GitHub.

It is a subclass of Module provided by the language. There may be a keyword or other API sugar in the future to help with conventions but the core is the Namespace class.

You can test by compiling from the WIP branch: github.com/tagomoris/ru...

@tagomoris.bsky.social is working on a branch that will soon be merged behind a flag. I've tested it locally and the basic idea works, the main tricky implementation issue being that common gems loaded in separate namespaces will duplicate memory.

The problem with most machine-based random number generators is that they’re not TRULY random, so if you need genuine randomness it is sometimes necessary to link your code to an external random process like a physical noise source or the current rate of US tariffs on a given country.

*$40bn

*$10bn up front, $30bn "by end of year" and they lose $10bn off the top if they can't convert to for profit, which is in my opinion is impossible. gonna need it with 500m weekly active users! Hey why do they never give monthly active? Is it because the conversion stinks?

However the AI bubble bursts, we are now witnessing one of the most consequential moments in tech industry history - the consequences of ceding the future to the most narrow-minded and short-sighted management consultants alive. A captured tech media is waking up, but not as fast as the public.
