I always remember watching the first episode and being completely befuddled by the fact that it didn’t have a ‘proper’ ending/solution

Slightly soggy, but the first peach blossom has opened today
Loaf 4/2026
A better rise on an oval loaf after baking two weeks in a row
Sprouting broccoli and leeks still providing us with fresh veg here. Plus all the homegrown stuff I’ve frozen or canned ofc
I work Sundays in Waitrose. It’s amazing the number of people still in the store at 4pm and some of them with big trolleys. They don’t like being asked to make their way to a till either…
Yeah we’ve got done sprout plants that need to come out, followed by the remaining leeks.
Rainy forecast ahead again though 😏
Dug up the last of the parsnips on the allotment this afternoon.
Time to clear some of the overwintered veg to make way for the new growing season

Back to a round boule for this week’s sourdough
Foto is quite nice. It’s just photos. No videos. Or noise!
Still in its early stages though
The rhubarb is awakening…
Quick trip down to the allotment this afternoon. Not a lot we can do on the plot at the moment as the ground is too wet, but it’s always good to see things are starting to grow
Thanks. Yes I saw it had reappeared a couple of days ago. Weird!
It’s back as a feed by the look of it 😃
Oh phew! I’m glad it’s not just me then
I’m confused. A feed I had pinned (#quiltsky) has disappeared from my pinned feeds and I can’t find it when I search feeds. What’s that all about?
Looks and sounds good
Can it be called an exhibition if there’s only one painting on display in it? 🤔
The small garden centre we bought some of them from said they’d not seen International Kidney for a few years now too.
Caledonian Rose is a new one to me
Yes Charlotte are my favourites too. I think Desiree kept really well the last time we grew them
That’s all the seed potatoes sorted for growing on the allotment this year:
Rocket - 1st early
Charlotte - salad
Kestrel - 2nd early
Wilja - 2nd early
Desiree - main crop
Maris Piper - main crop
Got them all chitting on the window sill 😃
So sorry to hear your news Moose. I thought literally yesterday that I hadn’t seen your wonderful posts for a while and wondered why 😢
Finally managed to get to the allotment today after a week of hard frost, snow, ice and heavy rain. Plenty of veg scraps to add to the compost bins. Managed to harvest some more leeks 😃
I think it’s on a channel we don’t get 😫
Some cups of tea are just too short. Need a second one this morning
Tbh, I don’t quite remember. I think it stayed good. I really want to watch it again. My partner has never seen it either and I know he’d enjoy it
I remember being blown away watching The Sopranos when it first came out in the UK. I’d never seen a tv show like it
First harvest of 2026, purple sprouting broccoli just as the broccoli has started to go over. Plenty of leeks still but the ground is too hard to dig them up this week

First bake of 2026 using my new oval banneton
#sourdough
New Year’s Day on the allotment pruning the bramley apple tree and removing the branches down to the burning plot on our allotment site

A green trug containing two stalks of Brussel sprouts, some parsnips and leeks
Quick trip to the allotment this morning, as is our tradition, to harvest veg for our Christmas lunch
Watched this earlier today. It’s amazing how much further their animation has developed since then
