Federal law enforcement agents shot and killed a man in Minneapolis on Jan. 24 according to local police officials. DHS told Fox News that the man was βarmed with a gunβ. A video of the shooting appears to show that a gun was taken from the man before the first shot was fired. x.com/BillMelugin_...
βEveryone should be allowed to carry a gun for their safety but the government can murder you in the street if you have a gunβ is an incredible endpoint for the conservative moment

"They carried her body out, just like by her limbs, they didnβt even have a stretcher," a witness says. "She was carried out like a sack of potatoes."
I almost went to the Capitol on January 6, 2021. I was creating my masters thesis podcast and first heard about it in early December 2020. I planned to bring my recording gear and get tape and everything. But in late December, I decided not to go. Can't decide whether I made the right choice
Only in sports journalism perhaps. And is it "shattering" a record if you exceeded the previous record by 1/2 a sack? @thepressbox.bsky.social @bryancurtis.bsky.social

Local radio reporting isn't free to make. But we give it to you for free. That counterintuitive model doesn't make business sense, but it's core to our mission that good local journalism should be accessible to everyone, even if you can't afford to pay for it. Support public media today.
The House has approved a Trump administration plan to rescind $9 billion in previously allocated funds, including $1.1 billion for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) β a move that cuts all federal support for NPR, PBS and their member stations.
Not a fun AP headline to wake up to this morning. Many public radio stations, like the one I work for, are working hard to make sure this major loss in funding that was approved does not prevent us from doing the work our community needs.
Honored to have received my button from @thepressbox.bsky.social. Can we also take note of the amazing handwriting of @bryancurtis.bsky.social? Excited to put this on my radio kit bag and show it off!
