Working on an ArcGIS Hub header image… this is the Duck River in TN. The most biologically diverse river in North America and home to many of my childhood adventures

Originally just exploring observations from a watershed in WV, but then went down a cartographic rabbit hole trying to better visualize density of observations and then it went into pure carto play land from there

Trillium underwoodii. A wedding gift from a friend that is in full flower every year on our anniversary. One of just a handful of plants I brought with us when we moved. That friend, a fantastic botanist of 30+ years in Alabama, was just fired for no reason.
