Vancouver's downtown has slowly become a zombie apocalypse. Throw 50,000 students down there and take it back.

It boggles my mind that no one in Vancouver talks about building a MAJOR UBC or SFU campus downtown but instead we spend all our mindshare planning multi billion dollar transit projects to their ridiculously located campuses.

Every time Brad Marchand smiles, a little part of me dies inside.

Spent the day in Victoria yesterday. Forgot how much I love that city.

39 years ago today I took a school field trip from Edmonton to Vancouver to see the opening of Expo 86. We flew in and out the same day and even got a glimpse of Princess Diana. I was in Elementary school but still remember that day vividly.

A worthy argument i saw today was that his polling % only dropped a few points over this same time period. It wasn't so much that he blew a lead as it was that the NDP vote collapsed and was mostly picked up by Liberals. Anyways i think he'll get better with age.

Tallying up bills from our trip to Australia. We went to visit family primarily but we'll be going back more frequently in future. Despite long flight it is a better destination to Hawaii. Accommodations, food and car rental were fraction of cost of Hawaii and overall superior

A very rainy day in Noosa today. Fortunately, was only a light sprinkle during our visit to Eumundi Markets.

Last full day in Gold Coast. Walked the beach, did lots of shopping, and relaxed in our apartment. It was a chill day. The best.

Today was the perfect beach day at Surfers Paradise.

Good times at the reef yesterday

Traveled to Port Douglas yesterday. It's very rainy here this week. Feels like Hana or Hilo in Hawaii. Very lush rainforest. Hot and humid but no sun right now. But we have a pool in our airbnb and a giant master bedroom. Life is good.

More appropriate really

Going to Australia for Spring Break. The flights are expensive, but the accommodations and car rentals are half what I'd spend in Hawaii. You need more than a week off to make it work but a good option if you want to avoid the USA.
