It tracks 14 indicators across Scotland. Some of the data is encouraging - 97% of adults don't experience violent crime, homicides at lowest level since 1976 (45 in 2024-25), and non-sexual violence down 18% since 2008-09.
The Scottish Government also published the Violence Prevention Monitoring Framework alongside the progress report we shared earlier.
The Framework will help identify where efforts need to focus next. Useful baseline for anyone working in prevention.

The report's honest about challenges too. Three young lives lost to knife crime in 18 months. But you can see the commitment to prevention and early intervention - through £6m funding to partners doing grassroots work across Scotland.
Worth a read if you work in community safety.
Peer education programmes where young people lead the conversation, hospital navigators reaching people at critical moments., place-based work in areas like Niddrie that's shaped by the community itself.
Real prevention work happens locally, with people who understand the context.
The Scottish Government has published the Violence Prevention Framework annual progress report for 2024/25.
It shows some encouraging developments - Street Guardians engaging 1,000+ young people, new navigator services launching, campaigns addressing online violence.
