Thank you! That's really helpful. I shall investigate (and indeed bear that in mind). Are there any Chronicler paths in particular that work nicely?

@threesailsstudios.bsky.social reading through Mappa Mundi, and in fairness I haven't gotten to the end yet, but are there any official (or unofficial) solo rules? i can see me playing this with my 10yo but I'd like to test it out first.
possibly this is not the right parrycat but @sandypuggames.bsky.social got me onto Kate Jeanne in the first place when i interviewed them back in 2020 for ZineQuest 2.
trying desperately to find a link, but the game Winter Harvest by @parrycat.bsky.social has a final session where all the players bring something to eat. always sounded great to me.
at the library next to the Mills & Boon carousel. really fascinated to know how formulaic they are.
you did later guest on my goofy podcast and talked shop with me for close to an hour, which i think is way better than an autograph, but it's also very funny that i got a book and bookplate and just stood there holding it before walking away.
definitely run out of ideas that aren't "i was involved somehow in publishing this" or "i bought this after interviewing the author"
27. @darkestadam.bsky.social (this is the last one because I've run out of ideas) the last copy in my house of my own game, which has been signed and dedicated for my partner & our kids. I lated saved it from the bin because it got caught up with stuff she was getting rid of ahead of our house move.
26. @solsroles.bsky.social Sent as part-thanks, part-payment for proofreading work done on English translations of German-language TTRPG zines (I was also paid in money as it happens, this was just a nice bonus). These are great games from @plotbunnygames.bsky.social!
I ran a campaign of Lightspeed for my friends at university. I think it's probably less crunchy than, say, Pathfinder, but it's a lot more hardcore than a game focused on delivering "anime-style action" ought to be.
I would love to play it! I think I might be able to get people at work to have a go, but it'll need to be introduced not as a roleplaying game but as a storytelling experience.
25. @armadajosh.bsky.social Another comp copy for doing UK fulfillment. This zine is really pretty, and the game itself is really interesting too.
This one's still available on DTRPG, possibly as PoD. It would be better in a different system, but Fuzion had a bit of traction at the time so that's what came out on top for Sengoku.
24. @rvnwings.bsky.social tiny tiny tiny weird book from @james-chip.bsky.social, ordered from the author. Probably the weirdest TTRPG I own in print. Also one of my faves.
23. @hardyroachgames.bsky.social Prototype printing of Outliers, which is cheating really as I was heavily involved in its production, but it was such a thrill to work with this. About forty were made in this style (one frosted cover not two) and sold at various UK cons in Summer 2022.
22. @squishymage42.bsky.social Comp copy after I did UK fulfillment for this zine many, many years ago. What I like about it is the actual zine-y feel - it's black and white and fairly flimsy.
21. @yorkshiremao.bsky.social Bought from Leisure Games, but because it represents @sandypuggames.bsky.social and the huge debt of thanks I owe to Nem for introducing me to a world of amazing indie ttrpg designers (and basically changing my life).
20. @kobanya.bsky.social Ordered directly from the author when I was a nascent game collector & player back in 2008. These are hand splattered, hand bound books and they're really lovely. @paulczege.bsky.social sent me an email warning me that it was incomplete and that I might not want it (I did).
19. @whodo.bsky.social Comp copy of the first ever zine I edited. Lost this for YEARS (it's very small) but finally found it when I moved house.
18. @thedicemechanic.bsky.social Kept this after selling a bunch of zines at Leeds Zine Fair in 2024. Really fun little game from @armadajosh.bsky.social.
17. @dicebob.bsky.social Last remaining copies of the defunct in*die zine, which I """ran""" for about two years. There are very few copies anywhere in the world!
16. @impworks.bsky.social One of a limited few copies of Regicide that went into circulation at the last jubilee for Queen Liz.
15. @lariassmuth.bsky.social My hand printed copy of a zine I did proofreading for. This is the version with my proofreading notes in the margins.
14. @jameswords.bsky.social Technically not an rpg, but it does contain one or two. Given to me as thanks for running a stall at Leeds Zine Fair. This zine was made in a single afternoon as part of the fair, with contributions from all the stall owners including me and @bonemade.bsky.social.
13. @galerie-roliste.bsky.social Purchased at Traveling Man in Leeds when @oneshotrpg.bsky.social came to do a book signing. I got so excited (and flustered) to talk to James D'Amato that I completely forgot to get it signed.
12. @iskander1312.bsky.social I got obsessed with Fuzion as a system, and as an unrepentant weeaboo at the time this felt like an obvious purchase. It's an excellent sourcebook for the genre, but the game is rather too complex for my tastes nowadays.
11. @comemartin.bsky.social Sent as a comp copy for editing it, which was super kind of BSG.
10. @vlederik.bsky.social Sent to me as a comp copy by the ever-kind, ever-awesome @cmlowryauthor.bsky.social.
9. @inkslinger.bsky.social Another game I bought on eBay on the back of a fantastic short campaign at Sheffield University's Not Only Dungeons and Dragons Society (NODDSoc). Despite the dodgy editing, it's a great game.
8. @ickbat.bsky.social Bought on IPR, shipped to a shipment consolidation service in the States, and finally delivered to me in the UK after several nervous weeks. Purchased for Roleplay Blast!, the monthly intro to story games thing I briefly ran. Unfortunately never managed to get it to the table.
