Agree with all your points. Here's one to add: wealth. Car ownership costs thousands, if not tens of thousands, per year. Put that money to other uses, or just don't work so hard. Another: health. Cycling or walking - even to and from the bus/tube stop - is free exercise.
Interesting. I switched to Copilot, as it's included in the MS365 package and uses GPT engine. Seems indistinguishable in use. Will check if it has the settings you suggest. I've found both Copilot and Chat GPT to be businesslike if one enters no nonsense prompts, with sufficient details.
It's like banging your head against a brick wall... To be fair, I know the BC has been pretty active with pop music. At least in the past. The situation for touring musicians - pop, classical, jazz - is now much worse post EU-exit. And most of the logistics ran from the UK, even for US acts, etc.
It's hard to believe how successive UK governments have failed to grasp the importance of the country's enormous creative sector. That's whether one considers it from an economic, soft power or information security perspective. As a bonus, its products makes people feel good.
It's terrific. And comfortably her creative peak. Electric Lady had some excellent moments, but Dirty Computer was so embarrassingly bad that (a) I sold it and (b) didn't bother with The Age Of Pleasure. Have I missed out?
It's just how it is - the EU is appalling with comms. It was not in its interests for the UK to leave (15% of budget, largest defence power, etc.). Therefore, it could and should have done more - regardless of the ridiculous posturing of British politicians. But it didn't, and everyone lost.
A lot of it comes down to comms and story-telling. Both the EU and successive UK governments failed to grasp the importance of emphasising the benefits of EU membership to/for British people. And UK govts enjoyed using Brussels as a convenient bogeyman. Then the referendum came to bite them.
Vis-a-vis investment advice: hasn't there already been a redditification? From WallStreetBets to FIRE, via generic subs like UK personal finance. On the one hand, the wisdom of crowds. On the other, not convinced LLMs should be using it as primary source material.
Urban/rural is more of an obvious split. But overall enthusiasm for EU membership is low, <40% actively support. Still a plurality - just - but way lower than other WB6 membership candidates. Down to govt messaging and romanticision of Russia relations - but also terrible EU messaging and actions.
Not necessarily. If you look at the student-led anti-corruption protests, participants are a really broad coalition from green-left, pro-EU to nationalist right, bikers and military veterans. And think about the current age and orientation of the anti-MiloΕ‘eviΔ protesters from the 1990s.
It's a much broader picture in Serbia than one might think, from the outside. The anti-war movement has been notable, with significant populations of both dissident Russians and displaced Ukrainians. They have, however, come under pressure from the government. www.nin.rs/english/news...
Oh well, that's not on my patch.
I know you know this, but: there was never a war between Kosovo and Serbia. I think I would have noticed.
Sons of Kemet got there before you. youtu.be/YEpziXD-SDk?...
Now you're making me envious...
Many valid points raised by @rogermosey.bsky.social. Also: EU referendum coverage, run primarily as a political story from Westminster, rather than focusing on the substantive socio-economic issues. But media "can't be bothered" to look at "what's actually wrong"? More like don't have the resources.
Dear me, that was good. You can't say this team are failing to produce brilliant moments. Just need to stitch them together and cut out the defensive brain fades.
He landed one huge run. But it wasn't quite as good as Yuto Totsuka, whose best run was supreme. All the build up had been about James though, Netflix doco and all. And there wasn't the usual collective stoke at the end - he just moped around looking devoed. Great competition though - deffo watch.
Yup. It's time for Team GB to win a medal at last. We need you at the free ski big air next, please.
Also occurred to a degree in the snowboarding halfpipe with Scotty James. Malinin was far more gracious in defeat, mind.
This is correct. The advice I always used to give new freelancers was "don't panic". Now it would probably be a choice of either one of those words.
Ok, I'll bite. From Croatia - and no, not Thompson. youtu.be/2pfLE5YJ1Fo?...
One thing all parties are absolutely appalling with is comms. I don't know where they get the people who they put in charge of that sort of thing...
Let's see... Cameron 1 implemented all the austerity he wanted. Then Cameron 2 implemented the EU referendum he foolishly promised. After that - well, frankly everything just looks like it's been firefighting the consequences of that decision. Often with petrol. And covid. And government by vibes.
I can imagine. Becoming PM is a bit like being appointed as manager of Liverpool. It's an honour that multitudes would relish, yet vanshingly few will ever receive. So when it happens, you'd better make sure that you set about it like Jurgen Klopp rather than Roy Hodgson.
It's funny watching British politics from afar. And wondering why a party with a massive parliamentary majority would not simply use that position to enact its programme, rather than worrying about the next election, which is still several years away.
This is the home club of the Prevc siblings. First session free, then β¬40/month for the first 6 months. β¬60 thereafter. Wouldn't even buy a day's lift pass at many alpine resorts. Don't think I'm their target audience, mind... sk-triglav.si/zacetniki-va...
Indeed. No ice in dem tracks. But people here in Slovenia tell me it's a very accessible sport. Very cheap to join a club, all equipment provided. Not like alpine skiing, which is very pricey.
The tracks on the ramp are ceramic, and should be frozen. But summer ski jumping is a thing. Probably the future of the sport, given the way the climate is going.
