I completely agree! Thank you for being clear about the power and importance of the gospel. We needed your words.

@ryanburge.bsky.social thank you for the EXCELLENT presentation this morning. If we took it seriously it would be game changing. Thanks for being real, giving us data, sharing your story. Your ministry is real and it matters. Giving thanks to God for you.

Episcopalians are wild because they're a christian denomination that somehow seems to not have total contempt for the teachings of Christ
Today I began writing on the internet again, for the first time in a long time.
We’ll never get that time back. So frustrating.
Kind of like how I don’t understand people who say with a straight face that the economics of the church are not utterly broken
Last week I shared this extensive analysis of how recent changes to the Threads algorithm have essentially shadowbanned my content there—and how this is exactly what happened to my Facebook page in Aug 2018.
Monday is coming: MLK Day and Inauguration Day. I wasn’t sure how I would feel. Yesterday I started working on something that made me feel better. More to come.
I want this to be real
@climatehuman.bsky.social excellent op-ed in the @nytimes.com today. Thank you.

Every year the annual Parochial Report has been changing the demographic data it collects. e.g., for the last couple years it asked for a breakdown by number of members per generational category (a new requirement!) This year it asks for... average age?
This is useless for comparison.
@jacobsoboroff.bsky.social loved your comments on going back to your synagogue with the rabbis and cantor. I’m guessing they didn’t give you too much grief for being away - they probably were super grateful you are there now. Keep it up, God bless you.
It’s making me grumpy that people are calling the California fires “acts of God.” God didn’t create climate change. We did.
Thank you!
It’s a whole new experience to listen to #9LC with BlueSky while driving north to lead Christmas Eve worship. Goodbye to the era which was listening to it with Twitter while making mince pie at home.

Every time I preach and preside, in the prayer with liturgical leaders before the service begins, I ask God to overlook our errors and give us Christ’s peace. I find just acknowledging to everyone up front that things will go wrong but we’re covered by grace helps me.
If we had more of this culture of transparency and accountability we would do better overall. Keep him in your prayers that he may continue on this path.
I welcome this with deep gratitude.
This is unprecedented in its thoroughness and transparency, for sure in the last ten years and possibly in the entire life of the Episcopal Church
Saturday reading… engaging and thought-provoking.
I haven’t been so informed about a football game since the days I was on Twitter. I confess I didn’t even know there was a football game happening rn until I opened this app.
Hi! I don’t know that I have been added but I would like to be.
You are not.
Pie crust update: it was a total success! What a relief.
Pie crust update: pumpkin pie has baked and is cooled. Pecan pie is almost done. Verdict will be rendered in approximately 2 hours.
Pie crust update: I have two rolled pie crusts in tins in my refrigerator. Dough was crumbly but held together when patched. Probably rolled it too much. Now to finish up fillings and bake.
4T is 1/4 cup and I think I did exactly what you suggest - so far so good!
