I’m about this. white people continue to underestimate us. They need to start to understand the difference between us and them and that being our ability to survive and even flourish in hard times.

People willl write a lot about the surnames of these agents, but as I wrote in Police and the Empire City, immigrants and descendants that become cops do so for social, cultural, and racial mobility—becoming “whiter” by proving they can do racial violence on behalf of the state, even against kin.
