That’s because I took it for the team this year. You’re welcome.

I read an nhs thing that said can sleep with it on for the first while which I might do tbh but then bandage it after that
It has not been good I gotta say. It happened last night. Thought it was maybe just sprained. Spent a MISERABLE night barely sleeping bc I couldn’t find a comfy position and woke up swearing several times bc I moved wrong. Better now it’s booted. Not looking forward to trying to sleep without it 🥴
Happy Valentines Day to my husband who had to drive me to A&E this morning and who now has to be my taxi for the foreseeable 🙃🥴 (40kg Rottweiler falling their full weight onto your ankle is apparently not great for bone integrity). Also this is the tiniest most pathetic break ever 🙃🙃🙃
This was one of my top reads last year! Absolutely beautiful read
Achieved a childhood dream of seeing Chichen Itza today 🥹🥹😭
Spent most of the day making more chapstick holders purely because I had the key rings and the time!
I am far too stressed about money. I always worry I am spending unnecessarily and so often tell him when I’m planning on spending at all (def if over £50ish)just so he can reassure me if it’s a sane purchase or not 🤣 would NEVER spend £6k without discussing with him first; that’s outrageous 🫣
2 more keyring chapstick holders whipped up this morning before heading south to give as gifts. So easy and satisfying to make!
Thank you! Really straightforward too!
Aimed to learn to sew three new things this year - today I achieved the third! Keyring chapstick holder 😂 other projects were book/kindle sleeves and a small box/bag for holding my sewing clips. Will aim to learn more next year!
I can only concentrate on them if I can’t do anything else - eg I have to be driving, or have it on while cross stitching. Couldn’t just sit and listen to one like I could music!
We had one of the best displays of Aurora at home last night! Could see them perfectly with the naked eye and got to watch them dance across the sky. Photos came out even more vivid! One of the perks of living in the Highlands 🥰🥰
I have now listened to #lifeofashowgirl at least a hundred times and while I know some people aren’t loving it, I am having a great time. Dancing, vibing, laughing at our millennial cringe. Not a single skip for me.
On our last day in KL we went to RexKL including Book Xpress which is a viral bookstore there (and around every corner was a content creator doing full on photo shoots) Buy 4 get a 5th free so had to take these home - all for under £20!
AHHHHHH! Have the best time 🤩🤩
Devastated that Scotland hasn’t got in on the trend. Also: UHT MILO
Boost Juice defined my adolescence. It’s where we went to hang out after school. Haven’t had it in maybe 20 years. But they have it in Malaysia 😍
Shows two bowls of Malaysian chicken korma
Top of image shows bowl of tomato rice. Roti canai (Indian bread) in the centre. Two bowls of curry at the bottom
Nyonya cuisine. Top plate shows blue pea flower rice. Plate next to it has mango kerabu (a sweet and spicy salad). Bottom left is prawn sambal. Bottom right shows loh bak - 5 spice pork rolls.
Inchi kabin - Nyonya fried chicken
We have been in Penang for a couple days. Did a cooking class and made Malaysian korma, roti canai and tomato rice. Then went to a Nyonya restaurant for dinner which I believe is a combo of Malay and Chinese cuisine (detail/names of dishes in alt text)🤌🏻🤌🏻
In his research Dunlosky et al (2013) identified 5 of the most robust & effective learning strategies you can use with your pupils:
1️⃣Practice testing aka retrieval practice
2️⃣Distributed practice aka spaced learning
3️⃣interleaved practice
4️⃣Elaborative interrogation...

Prophecy reads: obstinacy is the stumbling block. Opportunities have eluded you because of your obstinate and conceited attitude, making it so very difficult for others to get along with you. Don’t stand aloof from Others if you wish to make headway in your venture. Guideline - financial pursuit: not hopeful unless be prepared to slog hard. Matrimony: no easy path to success. Litigation: avoid it if possible.
We visited Thean Hou Temple this morning and I think everyone needs to see the prophecy/blessing(?) I received 💀💀💀💀
The entrance at the base of Batu Caves. On the left you can see the 272 colourful steps you climb to reach the temples. On the right is a 42.7m tall gold statue of Hindu deity Lord Murugan
We booked our arrival airport transfer through Viator and it came with a tour to Batu Caves, a batik workshop, and Royal Selangor (this was the best - going to go back to make our own pewter souvenir at the end of the trip!)
Went to Australia Zoo for the first time. Got to pet koalas.
FUIC is a thing here, but I’m a Paul’s NT Iced Coffee girlie and can only get that in the NT 😂
Also visited Tangalooma Island Resort for the first time and it was incredible. For £80 ea we got return day ferry; $25 lunch voucher, drink voucher for the journey, 60min quad bike tour (pls enjoy that ridiculous photo) and access to resort pools/beach. While swimming, dolphins swam with us 😭😭
Home in Aus visiting family for a week or so. Obviously had to cram in all the Australian delicacies (lemon lime & bitters; wedges sour cream & sweet chilli; snag; Chinese honey chicken done the way I like it)
Thank you! Several decades of work left no doubt 🤣 just need to be a wealthy heiress in the 19th C who sits around embroidering and yapping all day really 😌🤣
Progress on the second row of my MAMMOTH cross stitch project. Now to put her aside while we’re abroad for a few weeks 🥳🥳
TWO MONTHS after a baby she’s pregnant again. That poor woman. Means she was barely given time to recover from birth before having sex again too!
And I have a Taylor Swift song for each of them 🤣
