This year I am observing Ramadan, in compassionate unity with oppressed Muslim communities and nations.
Beginning tonight, and each night of Ramadan, I will meditate on the loving kindness which brings humans together.
I am an atheist but strive to genuinely and deeply understand and respect.

I have also stopped using Patreon. It skims too much money. But now I need to find another trickle of cash somewhere.

This is the green possum i was trying to take a photo of in the first image. These possums have a super fine filament in their hair, which behaves like a mirror reflecting the green rainforest. They are a threatened species due to habitat loss. Atherton Tablelands Queensland Australia

Does anyone know what kind of beetle this pretty one is? It is not a stag or christmas beetle, or a jewel bug.

And the mountain rivers poisoned by tailings. It's unbelievable this still happens in lutruwita lutruwita, mine tailings dams are still leaking into the rivers. Queen and Kings rivers might never recover, while others like the Pieman are dying of the same fate.
