The DHS Twitter has been tagging and calling out a local journalist writing on immigration in Chicago. Local journalists covering what’s happening need continual support especially as they write these important stories.

Here’s a blocklist of the federal agency accounts that were set up on Bluesky today just to troll. You can block ‘em all at once with a couple of taps here.

I considered writing a long carefully constructed argument laying out the harms and limitations of AI, but instead I wrote about being a hater. Only humans can be haters.

This is true and it is in fact the core of reclaiming higher education not just from these tools but from the degree mill mindset. The question is: how do we convey the importance of the work to others

Trying to mash a sycophantic human personality into a machine is really weird and I don’t know why this is the future they’re trying to force on all of us.

In “Don’t Bite,” I tried to make a pithy response, from my perspective. It feels very real this morning.

The song I sampled is a 1915 song called “Don’t bite the hand that’s feeding you” and its lyrics speak about how Uncle Sammy is disappointed in the ungratefulness of his inhabitants, specifically focused on recent immigrants.
