Watching Twin Peak for the first time. Going in knowing very little, except that thereβs cherry pie involved.
Ian is one of the best eggs. Who else would carry potato bread all the way to Cologne to give to PlayerUnknown for me? Only this jort-wearing queen.
Youβd hate to be the newly married couple preparing to go on honeymoon to Thailand next weekend only to find out you may not be because the flight changes in Dubai π« π«
Me dodging Resident Evil Requiem spoilers until I can afford to buy it π©
I once worked at Dominoβs for two weeks. I quit shortly after taking my first phone order. It was for Phil McCracken.
Iβm so sorry to hear this Tom and wish you all the best x
If, in the year 2026, your editorial team is made up of mainly (if not completely) white guys and you mainly commission white guys, then maybe itβs time for some reflection on why that is?
To be fair, LOTR would have been much shorter if Frodo had hopped on a Boeing
βYes, very much soβ
Heβs also never seen Top Gun, because he βdoesnβt care for planesβ
Anyway, enough anger for one day. Going to direct my outrage to a more worthy cause: getting my husband to watch Minority Report for the first time.
Props for flagging this BS π€
This boils my piss. There are a lot of freelancers out there struggling to make ends meet right now and youβd rather invent a fucking AI journalist than give them a cent.
Also, even in AI, games journos are white men. JFC.
Seriously, what the fuck is going on? My heart goes out to those at Eurogamer and the other publications affected.
Does games media actually have a chance to recover from all these layoffs?
Yepppp
I canβt emphasise enough how much working with a supportive editor can lift your confidence as a writer and keep you trudging on in an increasingly challenging freelance space.
Apologies to anyone that may have tried to contact me over the last week or so and I've not replied. We had a recent death in the family that meant I had to return to Ireland for a few days/take some personal leave. Back to (mostly) business as usual.
I donβt have enough hours in the day to explain the north

A friend recently showed me their kidβs homework is assigned via gamified apps rather than physical sheets/books. I donβt have kids, so didnβt realise this is a thing now? It sent me down the rabbit hole of the ongoing reading crisis affecting young people/children and it is truly terrifying π«
Started playing The Sims 2 again to live out my simulated dream of running a lil' cute bakery. Somehow it's ended up with me and my husband constantly working, barely getting quality time together, struggling for money, and becoming Elders at the blink of an eye - no bakery. Too real, man.
Never thought Iβd see the day a Fable game launched day one on PlayStation
Ok but can you crunch the bones of yummy yummy chicks? #Fable
@playphasmo.bsky.social missing a trick not meme-ing the hell out of ghost hunter Adam from #TheTraitors
Post a game you remember playing that nobody else remembers:
(I couldnβt pick, but these two are underrated bangers)
Hurst was excellent as Opie in SOA and as Thor in Ragnarok. Such a good choice. Getting very excited about this now.
This is probably the most emotional interview Iβve been a part of. The passion here is palpable, as is the pain from layoffs. Itβs wonderful to see devs rising from the ashes of that hurt to create new art.
Thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the folks at @ironrootgames.com about making their new studio a safe place for its devs. Thereβs no compromise, they want to put their people first and foremost.
