Clearly it's the lack of moulded plastic slides in your life!

Yes! And they were literally all the same and repetitive! You go to one park and you've gone to them all.

Oh that's amazing!

I am so jealous of all the cool playgrounds my kids get to play on now.

Playgrounds that have been built in the past 10-15 years are *incredible* -- the innovative designs alone and the way they challenge different age levels.

Tangent, but it's bananas seeing people who were kids in the early 2000s waxing nostalgic for the era of *super boring playgrounds*

They tore out all the cool wooden ones in the '90s to put in these safe plastic ones ... and then realized by the 2010s that these are all incredibly dull.

A spectacular opening day for Canada at the Paralympics.

Three medals. Two team victories. And we’re just getting started.

I’m at para snowboarding bright and early Sunday where Tyler Turner looks to defend Paralympic gold. Starts at 5am ET. Good night sports fans.

The Poet Laureate of the UK is famous for his translation of St Gawain and the Green Knight, and Kym once got up on stage, looked him straight in the eye, and then performed this.

Unsurprisingly enough, every time they've encountered each other since, he's remembered them.

The supposed explosion of the federal public service looks less explosive if you put it in per capita numbers and draw a line graph back to the mid-80s.

That's not true. But Julian of Norwich immured herself rather than be interviewed by Choitner.

Macbeth, Macbeth, Much Ado, Twelfth Night and then Macbeth again.

We had the same thing happen to us, and it was such a saga to deal with -- we ended up having to have the whole thing torn down. I'm so sorry!

It's really cool that you can make that happen for them!!

I've stopped travelling with the kids to the states and The Strong is one of the things I miss most.

As former head of Stonewall Ruth Hunt said (with deep sarcasm),

"It's great to learn that the media *now* support butch lesbians."

I'm annoyed about this 20-year-old take because the return of the Rochester ferry would be amazing.

... prior to last year, I was telling all the Toronto parents I knew about how great Rochester was for a weekend trip with the kids.

We have literally nothing that compares to The Strong.

Grandparents: surveyor, minister, nurse & teacher.

My grandfather was so proud of being an Ontario Land Surveyor that it's on his headstone.

If anyone is looking for a distraction right now, we've been playing this addictive game of matching categories this weekend (match 45 groups of 45)

Over the past couple years, a common refrain among Canadian authors who didn't support the Giller Prize boycott was that the campaign had a point, but was unlikely to 'make a difference.'

Scotiabank had a $368-million (US) stake in Elbit at the end of 2022. Now it's $0.

This was the first blizzard warning NYC had in nearly a decade. Maintaining more snow clearing equipment than needed probably doesn't make sense; getting everyday resident help does. City governments choosing not to properly fund clearing in Ontario cities, OTOH, is a wilfully chosen policy failure.
