I generally don’t like the 40k scale creep but with orks I think it’s great. The older smaller models and the new big guys will look good next to each other.

When I say I’m not into talking star wars but I did like the first movies, and the reply is “you mean episode one and two?” That’s exactly why I’m not into talking about star wars.
A grot with TWO guns!? Must be a high status little guy among the little guys
Soul wardens are so good. I dunno what the meta is anymore but especially in the era of token generators they were such a sleeper value card.
Although I am now most at home in the deep oceans of blue, the first magic I played — the one that got me hooked — was the green portal second age preconstructed deck 😊
I think it’s nice they chose Ditto, seemingly always the not-quite-as-good pokemon, to be the hero. Shine on, you mushy little guy.
I don’t know if it was intentional but it’s such a good detail to have the clock being almost 12. Approaching noon or approaching midnight, both times of action for the imagination.
He might not technically be alive but he lives big in my heart.
Their sculpts are outstanding too. Hope they never switch from metal.
The naturalize 🤣
This thread is awesome, especially the delver line, I had no idea these existed.
Yes! This is canon now.
The actual most big idea industry disruptor thing a company could do right now would be to make products people actually want and that work well and last a long time.
Ive said it before but we are far enough in advance the dem party should be paying attention to the left and not put up a loser. No shaming the non-voters this time around when you were warned so far in advance.
I was thinking this too. Most jade I’ve seen in museums is shades of green and grey. I think even GW’s paint jobs use too much blue, like it’s turquoise not jade.
Great plasma glow! You have the reflected light dialed in perfectly
I get it when it’s like the swole superhero-insect-mech looking ones but I saw a post comparing bulbasaur and turtwig as yes/no and that is totally lost on me what difference they’re seeing. It’s gotta be entirely subjective.
Congress members tapping out the words “congress must” and calling it a day
Great colors! Don’t often see nurgle break away from green, i like it
It takes a few coats. I do prefer spray primer for the convenience but basecoating with normal paint works just fine if you’re patient
It’s funny because on reddit everyone swears your paint job will crumble off the mini if you don’t use a labeled-as primer, but I have a feeling almost none of those people have actually painted without it. I used to do brush on black from the pot, now i use a spray, i’ve seen no difference.
Some of my favorite paint colors are my favorite not even because of their color but purely for how well they apply.
My favorite part of mini painting is when the paint consistency is perfect, pigment dense, and you get a full smooth application in one brush stroke. No better feeling.
My bank just sent me the most excited hype email to tell me all the incredible changes coming soon and I actually read it and the only change is they’re cutting my rewards tier by 50% fuck yeah lets gooo!
Oh yes, drybrushing is honestly pretty difficult. I do it on the chainmail but always have a lot of cleanup. Ive heard round makeup brushes can help.
For me it feels a bit like reading a story book vs watching a movie. I like both. But it’s the old hand sculpted minis that are more like story books, they encourage my imagination to fill in their world. Whereas the modern ones are so well refined they feel more creatively rigid in a way.
I’m gonna go with an auspex scanner? Hung upside down by the handle. Maybe.
Ooh i like that much more than metal masks
Thanks!
I do write down the paints used when i hit a color i like, so if you want the recipe for any of these let me know i will share them
