So do you think all 90 million of those people didn't vote because they were lazy, or it was hard, or they like, forgot or...?
So do you think all 90 million of those people didn't vote because they were lazy, or it was hard, or they like, forgot or...?
It sort of feels like once 90 million people do or do not do a thing, it's a bit beyond just "personal" or "individual" behavior. Seems like there's probably a greater cause by that point.
2024: Probably not enough Walton Goggins
2025: Proper level of Walton Goggins
2026: Dangerously approaching too much Walton Goggins
(Beartato and Reginald, in a museum, gaze upon the Mona Lisa) BEARTATO: There it is. The Mona Lisa. The most famous painting in history. REGINALD: Wow! What's it do? BEARTATO: It... what? REGINALD: Why's it famous? What's it do? (Beartato thinks.) BEARTATO: I don't know. REGINALD (to nearly museum employee): Excuse me! Sir? What's it do? EMPLOYEE: You're the first person to ask! Watch this! (The employee yanks a pull-string. Mona Lisa's eyes spin around and her mouth opens like a puppet) MONA LISA: Honk honk! Honk honk! (Everyone is delighted. This is true art.)

What a great time to suddenly inherit a house I do not want in a place I do not live.
Uh-oh! Worst person you know learned therapy words
Brother I know Craig T. Nelson when I see him.
That's Craig T. Nelson.
What a series of absolutely bizarre decisions.
Dude you canβt eat Burger King off the floor in public like that, youβre a fucking senator
I think if you're in congress, you gotta be requesting some blueprints as a "hey, you're not building a bunker, right?" check.
They've JUST been stabbed? Damn Donald, stop posting and go help those people!
The LinkedIn poster's brain is a fascinating thing.
Hmm, good question. I think the best way I would fix this post would be "never make it" and also "never develop the mindset that makes you think it's a good idea to make it".
I feel like if I ran the devil casino where you bet on human tragedy, I would eventually get tired of always having to give big payouts to the human-tragedy-makers?
Every time I look at it there's something more amazing about this post.
The Morgan Stanley hat.
The specific "ultra" marathon.
The fucking emojis.
Not the worst part of this post but I think "running a marathon" and "launching a startup" are two things where you very much have timelines and controls?
The LinkedIn poster's brain is a fascinating thing.
Honestly, who are the people betting on this kind of thing WITHOUT insider knowledge? Who are the sickos without congressional ties, in some garage in Wyoming, betting half their paychecks on the site of the next hellfire missile?
College basketball is right there, guys.
I feel like if I ran the devil casino where you bet on human tragedy, I would eventually get tired of always having to give big payouts to the human-tragedy-makers?
The Iran war is going to fuel a new level of anti-semitism
The world is pretty terrible but today I took an edible then got a hot dog from the hot dog place then went to the park and ate that hot dog while looking at a duck.
Good haul in the mail today, stuff from American Bird Conservancy, @theonion.com, and The Ducktown Weekly.
I absolutely adore The Ducktown Weekly, every week just a collection of newspaper comics, on actual newsprint. Also columns about national parks, birds, and poetry. Not an ad, I just love it.
I reviewed CONVERSATIONS WITH LYNN JOHNSTON for The Comics Journal!

Text reading: If there was ever a city to fall off the wagon in, itβs New Orleans. If there was ever a time, itβs Mardi Gras. While the carnival culminates tomorrow, Fat Tuesday, the Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf β who has professed to be sober, and who has blamed his abusive behavior toward ex-girlfriend FKA twigs on his past alcoholism β has been on an extended-weekend bar crawl in the cityβs Uptown neighborhood since Thursday, say employees of various drinking establishments around the city.
hey so @thr.com this is absolutely not how you start an article about alcohol use disorder
Itβs great (derogatory) that you can work very hard to find out something incredibly important, and the main response you will get is a derisive βGee, Iβm shocked.β
Somebody has to ACTUALLY DO THIS WORK! You canβt pursue justice by going βYour honor: I mean, duh.β
we simply, as a nation, do not have to consider the television opinions of Amanda Marcotte
The Adventures of Teebo A TALE of MAGIC and SUSPENSE Written and Illustrated by Joe Johnston
The guy who directed Jurassic Park 3 and the first Captain America movie also did this book about a lil Ewok named Teebo and I think thatβs neat
Sharing what @defunctland.bsky.social discovered about the Capital One Bank Guy ads, and asking the hard question: What do you do with the information that gay online men love Capital One, apparently?
