First prototype was great fun

Oof yall hang in there. That's rough

His 'resolution' is very satisfying for all of that.

Thank you! They're a fun spread that kept me engaged across different stories. I'd say Celineux and Alec are the two 'worst' of the list, just because they're both so psychologically warped.

Yep, great to have in the back of your mind while drafting for them!

--Arseni: theater fine arts productions. He fancies himself erudite and sophisticated. (He's actually just a psychopath in a suit) (10/10)

07.03.2026 23:34 πŸ‘ 3 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

--Sahir: If he can't fight: carousing. He loves women and booze. Views himself as a 'gentleman,' so he doesn't assault people, but that's about the extent of his good qualities. (9/10)

To a Monster Bound Antagonists:
--Silverwolf: maintaining her weapons, making her own ammo, and reading. Has OCD tendencies about her clothing and weapons. (8/10)

07.03.2026 23:34 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

--Hideyoshi: down time? Tumbler of hard booze and a book or TV. Very normal, old man in that aspect.
--Celineux: obsessively gleeful about making new curses. Her downtime is cursing people (especially random, innocent people). She loves it, and expresses sadistic tendencies through it. (7/10)

07.03.2026 23:34 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Demon King Daughter Antagonists:
--Torlash: He really does love scheming. He comes up with plans on plans on plans just because he can and wants to. This IS unconsciously fueled by his inferiority complex. (6/10)

07.03.2026 23:34 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

--Visansa: plays games of skill, like chess. For pure leisure, likely with Corala or online competitors. She keeps her screenhandle anonymous in such cases. Extremely high-rated player. (5/10)

07.03.2026 23:34 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

--Alec: abusive asshole. Likes making people do his bidding. Gets off on being in charge. Family has handlers placed around him to make sure he can't cause too big of a scandal. (4/10)

07.03.2026 23:34 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

--Julius: mostly reading. Military tactics and business methodology, because he's obsessed with both beating and impressing Visansa. (3/10)

07.03.2026 23:34 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

--Wiedan: is a bully. He literally hunts down someone he can pick on and derides or punishes them. Usually this is just whoever's in range (so his own people), but he LOVES picking on Aroi. (2/10)

#AwesomeCharacters Good one! Thread 🧡 (1/10)
NICEF Antagonists:
--Winslow: he practices or spars in his Nicef. He's a master pilot, and loves fighting. He's hands-on whenever he can get away with it, and is sorely disappointed that his son is so mediocre.

Hideyoshi frowned in distaste, but lifted his hands to either side of the orb, and channeled holy magic runes into it. The sphere sparked and rippled, hating his magic as much as he hated its, but within a few seconds, a shimmering surface appeared above the sphere, soon coalescing into a direct view of Torlash's dismal expression with a backdrop of his throne.
"You really shouldn't contact me so soon after every incident, Lord Commander. There's no such thing as perfect obfuscation."
Hideyoshi scowled. "Don't trifle with me, Torlash. You were told to supply a demon that would provide a proper challenge for our best trainees, not a demonic weapon that might destroy the city."
Torlash shrugged, unfazed. "You wanted a new challenge, which immediately eliminated demons from every realm of demonic territory known to your people. You should be grateful I pulled from my private collection to answer your demand. If your trainees hadn't panicked, the creature never would have multiplied so readily. It wasn't quite as intelligent as a normal Hydra, but I put a great deal of work into its mental adaptivity. Once it saw that being cut apart let it multiply, it simply used its own nature to its advantage. Don't you have master Demon Slayers in these sessions to help handle exactly such outcomes?"
Hideyoshi's scowl deepened. "How did you know that much about the incident?"
Torlash sneered. "I know what my servants know, Lord Commander. You're well aware of those tricks. Don't act so ignorant." He was exaggerating the effect, but he had no reason to comfort Hideyoshi in that.

Hideyoshi and Torlash are very much a couple of "It's not 'if' but 'when' they betray each other" villains. They both hate each other, but each represents the easiest path forward for the other's plans. I enjoy their banter XD

In a word: No. Especially raw material extraction is not sustainable at all. Ore-rich worlds are processed until they physically cannot be (possibly to the point of catastrophic fracturing). Nicefs themselves run 'clean,' and leave little>> (1/2)

Art by Luigiix - reference sheet for the Phoenix mech (Nicef). Right side shows Phoenix's main body, humanoid, with aerodynamic armor layers. Small details glow in blue, the majority of the Nicef is red, with darker red, gold, black, and silver filling in as detailing. Massive, mechanical wings come out of Phoenix's back, and they are fully spread, with clusters of thrusters ignited to create huge 'wings' of burning jet-fire. The wings hit the far right and left corners of the landscape arrangement. Phoenix is carrying a long-barrel sniper-rifle matched to its design in its left hand. The lower-left of the image shows a text box with the following information:
Model Name: Phoenix
Class: Zero-Gravity Combat (Zigcom) frame
Manufacturer: Darkstar Manufacturing
Primary Weapon(s):
--Multi-Configuration Long Range Plasma-Condenser Rifle (MCLR Plasma Rifle)
--Interlock Medium Range Plasma-Condenser Cannon (IMRC Plasma Cannon, component of MCLR Rifle)
--Interlock Spatha-Class Plasma-Condenser Saber (ISC Beam Saber, component of MCLR Rifle)
Manufacturer's Note: "Phoenix's specific beam saber utilizises a proprietary modification to the plasma condenser field, creating the red color of the plasma discharge as opposed to our standard blue."
Combat Role(s): vanguard, scout, ambusher, sniper

Oof, yeah. I went through several artists before finding out Luigiix was such a gem. It's the main reason I always go back to him. He's reliable, honest, and is extremely affordable (he undercharges, I have to bump up the pay a bit on occasion).

I love my NICEF art project with Luigiix, he does amazing work, but I never should've used that much money for art assets that weren't directly tied to publishing/marketing. Lesson learned. He'll still be my cover-art guy, because I can pace and budget those more easily. (2/2)
