I drew a card for the world for International Women's Day this weekend, using Our Tarot. Lozen was revealed. She was an amazing Apache warrior. The card is about being outnumbered in a fight, but standing strong & having the higher ground. I've blogged with more.

London is full of little parks much loved by locals. I took these photos of Forster Memorial Park in the Borough of Lewisham. What's unusual about this park is that the central grassed area is surrounded by a ring of ancient woodland.

Here's a photo of the first primrose to bloom in my garden this year. They are one of the most recognisable flowers of early spring. The name itself comes from the Latin prima rosa, meaning "first rose".

The photo shows a candle burning on my altar. I made it with recycled wax from ends of candles collected over the past year. I like to do this at around Candlemas each year, as that's traditionally when candles were blessed.

Are the snowdrops out yet where you live?
They are the quintessential flower of Imbolc, representing the first stirrings of spring. I watch for when they first appear in my garden each year. I took the picture in my London garden. Only a few were in bloom.
