This is lovely. I choose to believe it’s true. We don’t mind if you 🎶 sing 🎶 when you visit Monmouthshire

It’s an honour to be awarded fellowship of the Learned Society of Wales today (row 4, 2 in 🫣). The achievements of other Fellows are inspiring. It’s a stimulus for me to up my game and do more. Credit to all @MonmouthshireCC - public service is a team sport.
We are so proud to be hosting Wales Armed Forces Day on 28th June. We are building a great family day full of military assets and fun. It is FREE ENTRY but tickets are limited and flying out so don’t hang about
We have a small number of sponsorship opportunities.

Glass of wine anyone on a sunny day; maybe a bottle or two to take home. The vineyards of Monmouthshire have you covered. All award winning in their own right and a sensational collection. 🍷 🍇
With the tensions and problems throughout the world, bringing communities together and enjoying their company and conversation has never been more important. I’m so pleased that hosting a community Iftar is now a fixed part of our year at Monmouthshire County Council

Beautiful quote - so who brings out the best in you?
Do you know?
Do they know?
Storm Bert is certainly laying it down across South Wales. Lots of flooding, lots of closed roads. You can help by not being reckless.A ‘road closed’ sign is not a challenge to your driving skills, it means TURN AROUND. You will put yourself in danger.
Stay away from river banks
The 1,000th day of Putin’s illegal invasion of 🇺🇦 - we promised we would fly the flag every day at our HQ until the end. We have and we will.
It’s a good day👇
I was delighted to hear yesterday of the progress being made by The Princess of Wales - cancer requires many forms of bravery, being prepared to be public is one of them. It does help others 👏👏
The wild horses of the Black Mountains and surrounding areas. Features of the landscape since Roman times. You will more often than not catch a glimpse when out walking in these parts of Monmouthshire
Really interesting read. 🏴 continues to have a strained relationship with wealth creators that I have never understood & at times a myopic view with many claims of being world class that don’t stack up. Progressive places do better on both fronts

People love to visit Tintern Abbey and the Wye Valley (I do too) in Monmouthshire. It sometimes overshadows Llanthony Abbey sitting further north at the foot of the Black Mountains. It’s a stunning place. The ancient ruins talk to a time past and the stunning surrounding hills just have to be walked
