It feels hopeless, but it isn't. With some serious organizing and public outcry, horrible decisions like the one above can and have been reversed, especially if pressure is applied during election years.

Nothing much to talk about. What started out as a hobby ended up taking over my life for over a decade, and I need to step away from it for a while to pursue personal improvement as an artist instead of constantly jumping from one commission queue to the next.

There are a number of previously completed adoptable concepts, commissions, and auctions that I will be posting through the end of the year. You should really ask whether a call-out on a newbie who is just trying to make a positive event happen for LGBTQ gamers is fostering the inclusion and kindness that this community needs. You can't complain about trans allies, but then reject them when they show a sincere desire to learn and grow.

You made some wild assumptions about this person's con knowledge, and got mad because they pinged to invite you to a trans leader's pro-LGBTQ panel. Dude was frustrated but apologized, even after your boss openly threatened him. And you rejected the apology. Maybe you oughta check your bias too.

None of that is to say that your feelings aren't valid, because they absolutely are. Just be aware of how your power shapes things in a public space. Using it to bash or denigrate is a choice. Talking to and guiding someone who clearly wants to do better is also a choice. One hurts, the other heals.
