sorry for getting long winded!! but I honestly really just set my expectations high.

i'd like to reiterate that im still grateful that my stuff has any audience at all, and that it feels like people that have seen the animation mean it when they liked it, so thanks!!

i could literally have a video reach only 500 views if it means 99% of them had something to say, and that lets me know if anyone even cares about the minute details lol

but yeah all in all I don't think i'm disappointed in the viewership, but the viewership sometimes do influence the chances of hearing what people may have to say or nitpick about my work, which is my favourite thing about posting!!

since it is pretty consistent across most of my pages... so it really does feel like maybe the video wasn't up to par with what most people look for with my works, i dunno.

for the record, these numbers or even some reactions will never influence my characters identities-

but yeah, it makes me wonder where i might've blundered. like, did i take too long on this? was nothing happening in the story, maybe it was less shocking or exciting? maybe too laid back compared to the last anim? ...is it because the cats are gay? 😭

i suppose what i can't help but wonder about is why it was just received as is. with an established following, and considering how well the first animation did, i just tend to set expectations... and you kinda wonder where everybody is or went lol. nevertheless it was still pretty humbling!

i don't mean to sound like i'm absolutely lamenting the fact that this didn't get the attention i hoped for, because i can't force people to watch this and i accept that... which I have for many of my works. it is what it is. numbers should never be the driving force for making what you love, but-

just some post-release thoughts still lingering about this anim.... because it really does feel like this took a nosedive in interest compared to the last animation. and it does vex me a bit, because I feel like I've improved in every way and may have set expectations...
