The gift to Arsenal Tech was entered into the discussion to be added to the minutes for a future discussion as it was not included on today's agenda.
Bonner Center has cancelled their Quality of Life Safety Community Action Team. Recycle Force is the only recycling facility for NESCO. There's a public drop-off recycling location at 3724 E 9th St. triangle. This has been a slow process.
INRC just received funding to continue their ICBI efforts.
ICBI provides space where Indianapolis neighbors can connect, realize, and act on their passions for change while taking co-hort-style classes in neighborhood organizing with a community-based project.
INRC continues its core training free of charge to neighborhood groups, ensuring that grassroots organizations can access the resources they need without financial barriers.
Shepherd Community and Recycle Force received their flowers for their work beautifying the area. Shepherd Community has an open invite from NESCO to attend a meeting.
There will be a NESCO table at FOL. Several other events are included on the agenda and discussed in the meeting; IndyGo Back 2 School Night & Holy Cross Wine & Cheese Fest
NESCO will be attending the National Night Out Tuesday, Aug 5th. Westminster Neighborhood Services is 8/8.
Crime fighters of the year will be announced at the Tuesday event.
The discussion of Martindale (not Brightwood) will be going for historic designation. There are 2 designations of historic, one of which maintains a certain consistency while the other allows for Fountain Square type upgrades to homes.
A land use committee will be brought in to discuss the issue further as well as more signs in more visible spots.
IMPD is on the record as not enforcing the speed limit for 11 miles over or less. The discussion is focused on what needs to be done about the varying speed limits in the neighborhood.
Springdale won the EDIN Eastside Games. Michigan/NY Street update is mostly complete besides some signage changes. 30 MPH is the recommended speed limit besides school zones.
