I went to CVS to buy mom a pair of +3.25 reading glasses, that’s the only place I can find them. They were $47.99 and the clerk said she thinks the dollar store has them that high of a strength. So I bought a bag of Easter peanut m&ms and a bag of Cadbury mini eggs instead. Better use of my coupon!

Also, it saves you from having to open the door every time they need to go out, but they (at least my dogs) don’t know yet how to close the door beyond them, so I just watch the heat or AC go out the door behind them!

Nobody loves curling up in a ball quite like a Dalmatian. This was my beauty girl Roxi, she slept curled up in the laundry basket ever my night! Koyuki must have learned the proper technique at the Dalmatian meetings.

I don’t remember if you can eat dairy or not, but next time you go, if you have not already tried their “everything but the pizza” cream cheese, it’s a must… esp with some of their focaccia dipped in it.

You can come here after any hurricane and eat!! lol. You’ll have to deal with panting dogs but for Ida we did a good job feeding the neighborhood. But yes… fraught is too mild. My bill has tripled. It’s criminal.

I thought about that this morning! I was leaving Costco and didn’t have time… hopefully will hold steady until Monday evening when I can get there again (and a lot of other less self-centered sentiments, of course…).

Ugh. SWB came out and confirmed the whole street is out (it went out at 4 and I went to work. Put in a ticket around 8:30 when my neighbor said we were still out. They came by 9:30). Said if they don’t come tonight to fix, 1st thing tomorrow am. Frustrating!!

I often go without makeup. As much as I sometimes feel embarrassed about my skin cancer scars on my face, the nice part of getting older is that I care less and less. My face is fine the way it is. I slap some moisturizer and sunblock on and I’m out the door!

It has been a long week. Mom was admitted to the hospital on Saturday. Working and trying to take care of her during a kitchen renovation is a lot. All I wanted for dinner was tortellini. I came home and made it in my little makeshift kitchen, very glad I did!

Agreed. I do not miss being cold, having to clean up, or having to walk or drive anywhere in it (afterwards). But I do miss the quiet stillness when it’s snowing and that surprise you get when you wake up in the morning to look outside to see how much fell!
