I find the idea that some suit out there is convinced they can get pop culture media obsessives in the same convention hall as LA influencers wearing raver candy and Etsy war bonnets, and thatโs somehow going to work, incredibly delusional.
I am not fan of the WSJ because they are so hard right, so holy crap. This quote in particular shocks me coming from them: "But oil markets are global, and prices at the pump are expected to keep rising, acting as a tax on consumers."

When a comic conventionโs ownership/management starts caring more about size & headcount over anything else, comics inevitably lose. The industry canโt compete against film, television, video games, music. Comics become a footnote at the conventions they were founded to celebrate & made successful.
