One of the greatest faults of the 21st century is that we subtly left behind our own thoughts while chasing new technology and more success. Myself included.

I don't really count this account or my YT as part of my main social presence since I don't feel the same constant comparison and pressure like I do on Instagram. I just make whatever on here and share it, no pressure to act in a certain manner besides that which is entertaining
I've cut down my Instagram and Reddit doomscrolling and turned off their notifs. I believe it's a more realistic alternative to the digital detox trend on YouTube currently.
There's also the privacy implications of these but...I'm Gen Z. Having no socials is to your detriment at my age.
writing a video over my personal opinion of federated social platforms (e.g. the Fediverse) after being a fairly avid user for years. nowadays not as much, but I don't think they are necessarily bad.

probably gonna drop a shorter video before my video on my home server project. The server just needs to have its apps and docker containers set up.
gonna have to move my old gaming laptop to Linux soon, rip windows 10. Better than just throwing it away or something though, especially with how much computers cost right now because of AI.
and...I got the home server to be accessible on the internet. Used tailscale to handle networking (my biggest issue with my OG setup. I still want to use my own domain name tho).
only need to set up docker and nextcloud. Got SSH working too. 🤞🏾
I mean you wouldn't want to really use a card this old even on Windows. In my case though, it just straight up isn't even supported in Debian 13.

Had enough of the legacy Nvidia driver insanity. I just ripped it out. It's an ancient GT 730. It's just life when you use Linux.
I love to reuse old hardware, but I'm not sure what to do with this. It's 10+ years old.
to this date, I've successfully gotten nextcloud to work on my home network. not too hard. however, I still haven't managed to get it securely working over internet. i will at some point, believe me. the amount of times I've failed making this is motivating lol.
For notes and documents, I now realize that Syncthing is a better, less complex option, especially since I use Obsidian regularly. Given that my computers are between...2 countries...I have no idea when I'll ever finish it. Maybe I'll just get a VPS or mini PC to play around with. idk.
My home server project probably won't be finished due to time constraints. Debian 13 install was insanely problematic due to legacy Nvidia driver issues. Took forever to fix even with the help of ChatGPT. Honestly, idk if I even need to have the GPU in there for, say, a Gmod server.

All my old computers at home are running outdated versions of their distros. The others are easy upgrades, but this Thinkpad (MX Linux) needs a full reinstall for the newest version.
So I'm gonna download a game and run it into the ground, rm -rf /* it, and switch it to Arch.
