Blue sky! Yay.
@catzzzuk
You might remember me from Creative Latitude, Designers Who Blog, NO!SPEC, or Women Learn Thai. These days Iβm hanging out in Devon with The Man, three Maine Coons and a crazy Staffy. Unless noted, photos are my own.
Blue sky! Yay.
Fingers crossed! Just this morning acquired Stan Miller's Watercolor Portraits course. Nervous (been awhile).
Inspiring (I need to get going - get back to it).
Well deserved π
"never been more disgusted to be an American"
It never stops. I assumed leaving the US would help but there's no escaping it.
Seasonal burning in Chiang mai. It's horrible.
This came up on FB memories yesterday. From my time in Chiang mai. I survived. Not all do (apologies, I'm getting morbid!)
(We need t-shirts: "I survived seasonal burning" ...)
Stay safe ... that pollution can creep up on you and kick your butt.
Perfection
Looks good!
Dinner tonight ... all I know so far is that he's preparing a brined whole chicken (started yesterday).
Nice views :)
Such a perfect colour they are too. Former owners (not sure which ones) planted miniature azaleas that can barely be seen unless I scramble up a steep incline to weed. A nice surprise the first time I discovered them.
Such a lovely photo π
Photo shows a beat up Belfast sink (only Β£35!) with wire mesh over top. On top of that will be a board cut to fit.
We are possibly looking at a drought this summer, so I added an old Belfast sink in the top field for the dog pack. I feel awful for restricting it but canβt take the risk.
βShared water can spread dangerous bacteria and parasites, including Giardia, Salmonella, leptospirosis, and kennel cough.β
Your photo draws me in ... nice.
Heβs a mess π
It's created quite a mess. We had a friend stuck in Bangkok. Had to buy a second ticket direct to the UK instead of flying through Abu Dhabi. But at least he's safe (at first we were worried he was already in the region).
Not too shabby.
Looks like fun! I'm a big fan of Daniel Fraser (but don't hear much about him these days).
I've recently switched to toasted pumpkin seeds. The addiction is the same ... but maybe I need both?
>> Pumpkin seeds are superior for magnesium, iron, zinc, and protein, making them better for immunity, sleep, and heart health. Sunflower seeds are better for Vitamin E (great for skin) and fiber.
There's a number of berry bushes with more to come (and I mostly can't eat berries), plus I'll plant more wild flowers that seed.
Iβm considering taking mine down (difficult decision). Apparently, thereβs an issue in the UK with trichomonosisβ¦
Saxton in the back of the car - chilling out.
Saxton was only a handful of months old at that time. Four months? Five?
"Smiling Albinoβs 25th Anniversary" where'd the time go?
Photo shoes Diaw in the front of the car driving, with Saxton, our grey and white Maine Coon, in the back with an inquisitive expression. Explanation: When Saxton was still a kitten he didn't like being left alone, even though there were two other cats there. He'd HOWL until rescued!
OTD 2019 (Bangkok)
Me: Could you please watch Saxton?
Me: I need to walk to the store.
Diaw: Walk?
Me: Yes, walk. It's under ten minutes.
Me: I do it all the time.
Diaw: But I can drive.
Me: Saxton doesn't like being left alone.
Diaw: We can bring Saxton.
Diaw: I can watch him in the car.
Exactly. It's a no brainer ...
Mr. Catzz says thanks!
A kilo - for sure! Tomorrow, we diet π
Thanks! I'll let him know.
The pastries were ... tasty βΊοΈ
Ta! It was! Ate half last night and the rest for breakfast. Too much sugar but we don't do this often ...
Tastes like an old-fashioned dessert. Sweetened bread. Cream and jam.
Hazelnuts ... and a whole lot of sugar.
Dessert on the left is packed with almonds (not my fav). Dessert on the right is a mini lemon meringue (yum).

The Man just received a award from GeolSoc. His stomach is iffy, and I no longer drink (overindulging during Covid bored me stiff) so we've been celebrating with pastries collected from nearby bakeries. Oooooof. Congrats Man. It's well deserved!

Saxton our blue and white Maine Coon .. glaring?
An intense Saxton perched in a D'avesn plate. Crazy kitty.
