Flann's brother, Gerry O'Nolan was a member of the Dublin Chess Club. In recognition of his 50 years in the club, we organised a tournament in his honour. 2 days before it began, he walked out of a pub in Donegal, and dropped dead. So, we held his memorial before he was buried!

It has a whole page description about becoming a member of the Fianna. Run through a forest with loosed hair, recite poetry and play chess!

I wonder why they keep changing the look and feel of UIs. 2 reasons come to mind:
1. Designers are bored and want to show how cool they are.
2. It's easier to explain UI changes than changes in the threading activation algorithm.

We watched "4 Weddings and a Funeral" last night which is also wonderful. My 20-something son prefers "Notting Hill", especially Rhys Ifan's dreadful character.

My dad twice appeared in the Meccano magazine for his creations. Good to see it lurking in the window.

Two alpacas in a shed 30 minutes after being castrated.

I helped castrate two of our alpacas today. As you can see they were back on all fours 30 minutes after the op. The vet sedated them, injected anaesthetic and pain killers into their groin area.

We hope they will be easier to handle and won't fight as much with the other members of the herd.
