Lived in Houston when JR and Nolan Ryan pitched together to start the 1980 season. Ryan wasn't great that year and JR suffered his stroke in July. What could have been.
I was in the upper deck of the ‘Stick when it happened. Family moved to the Bay Area just a year or two earlier and became a lifelong Giants fan that day!
