There are a lot of fabulous locally owned shops that would love your business. And if you live in a shop desert, there’s company-run websites for everything you’re trying to buy.
And it doesn’t have to be all or nothing. If you reduce your spending at these places by half, that is still sending the company a signal.
Sliding in here to say that it is actually quite easy to boycott Amazon. And Target. I’m a year in to doing both.
