STINGโ€“NF-ฮบB signaling builds an influenza spillover barrier Influenza pandemics are often traced back to the spillover of avian influenza A viruses (IAVs) to humans. However, barriers against IAV transmission remain elusive. We demonstrated human stimulator of...

Increasing evidence that STING has functions beyond DNA viruses. A new study reports that STING restricts influenza infection, independently of IFN. This work complements prior studies that STING prevents infection with diverse RNA viruses.

I'm not sure, often evaluation of the central dogma comes from a position of misunderstanding or superficial evaluation of the key tenet. The main point (that has yet to be violated) is that information does not flow backward from protein.

Why does mitochondrial disease still take ~8 years to diagnose?
This study shows most delay happens before suspicion, despite early seizures, hypotonia & stroke being documented years earlier.
Recognition โ€” not testing โ€” is the bottleneck.
