DALTON???!??! With you on early Brosnan but Craig is my no. 1 because he treads a nice line between the book-Bond and the film-Bond. I have a soft spot for Lazenby too.
Always adored the films though from an early age. Havenβt watched one in a while actuallyβ¦ maybe I can Bond my way through the rest of these 3 root canalsβ¦
Yes! That would be grand. I read all the books back to back during the early lockdowns. I liked the short stories and the early books but once the 1960s hit the sexism got worse (and thereβs some disturbing sexual violence mentions) and tbh the later books were a bit of a trial.
Yes!
I care! TBH I canβt see Amazon doing a great job of Bond. To me, the Bond films are Broccoli films. They made them into something special - sometimes absolutely bananas but they were their own thing with little connection to the books.
Four white people are posed within what appears to be a farm shed. They are all looking straight at the camera, surrounded by discarded tools, paint, rope and bags of unknown stuff. In front are two young men wearing dresses. One has a grey mop-like wig, while the other is blonde, with a beard, holding some dried flowers. Behind them on the left is an older woman dressed like a man, with a brown suit jacket over a collared shirt and dark corduroy trousers. On the right a the back is a much taller man, wearing a flat cap and a tweed jacket over a nightshirt. He is holding a large rusty scythe. They all have bare feet. A single bare lightbulb hangs above them from a wooden beam.

I'm playing the farmer's son. Tim is my girlfriend. Of course.
One of my favourite record labels, www.anothertimbre.com has had a gorgeous website redesign and to celebrate they have a 5-CDs-for-Β£25 special offer. If youβre into modern composition and minimalism there is no finer label.
Congratulations! Such happy news!
Sitting in the garden in the sun. Cup of tea. Listening to @leochadburn.bsky.social βs Primordial Pieces. Intermittently reading Yoshi Oidaβs marvellous book The Invisible Actor. Very happy with this state of affairs.
Ooh I need to revisit this one. Been too long...
New necklace alert! π¨
Photograph showing a messy desk with equipment lying around - a hot glue gun and 2 ends of a scruffy-looking contact microphone sit on a stained silicone mat with a craft knife. Beside the mat we can see a desoldering device, a cup of tea, a wire cutter, soldering iron and various scraps of wire, tape, glue and plastic bags for components. Everything is sitting on top of a large green self-healing mat which obscures all of the tableβs surface expect for a small strip showing a golden-toned wood, right at the bottom of the image.
I made a contact mic today! Itβs ugly and has some problems for me to iron out in version 2, but hey! It plugs in, it makes a sound approximating what I expected, it doesnβt blow anything up. Iβm calling this a win.
*waves madly* Iβm doing ok, thanks! Filling my spare hours learning electronics. This weekend Iβm going to try to make my first contact mic!

I've caved. Much as I love Mastodon (and will still be over there), Bluesky seems to be where the people I know AFK hang out, so here I am. Good to see you all again!
