GurgleApps Word Clock complete in 3D printed case
It is finished, and I love it! Word Clock kit from GurgleApps.com
Word clock showing the time is Twenty Past Ten
All soldered up and the code working! Faster than it took to 3D print the case (which is still on the printer).
GurgleApps word clock face plate and LED matrix PCB artwork
Hey @gurgleapps.bsky.social I only opened my Word Clock box today as I was saving it for Christmas.
Thank you so much for the personal hand written note and gift I found inside! I love the pcb artwork. Looking forward to building this now. Just sent the case parts to the 3D printer. Merry Christmas!
Are you in need of an old Kinect360 camera unit? I can help with that.
If you are by any chance at #MakerFaire in #Shenzhen next week, come and say hello π
I'll be there discussing how making at home opens up paths to industrial automation around the world!
Big thanks to @seeedstudio.com for having me!

My experiences this year with one of the kids were that even if you are with them in the hospital, nobody knows when the patient is going to be discharged until just before it happens. I hope your mum is doing OK.
Going for the danger dangle I see!
Now I just need to decide what to bring! See you all there.

Pirate radio from @pimoroni.com c.2018 repurposed to play Swift bird calls in the morning and evening. Learned some crontab tricks to get the script to run and stop at scheduled times. Impressed the hardware works on a modern install of Pi OS Buster lite after all these years. #nature #RaspberryPi
Happy Birthday! π

Send in your new cat after it.
They are clever animals, and found a way to exploit a weakness you overlooked in your AI cat deterrent system. Enjoy your new overlord.
Arenβt there numerous portable home air cooling units you could review?
Bashed my leg a week ago which I didn't think was too bad until I spent all of Saturday on my feet. Now it has swollen up again and gone yellow and purple. Waiting for verdict from GP e-consultation now. Energy has crashed today so have not been able to work or concentrate. Fell asleep in a chair.
Insurance have refunded our family holiday which we had to cancel due to daughter being advised it was unsafe for them to fly. Not sure when we will be allowed to regain insurance cover for future holidays now due to it being a pre-existing condition. So no going abroad for us now this year.
In amongst it there has been some real good things, but I really would like the bad stuff to give us a break now.
Went away this weekend for a reunion with university friends from 30 years ago. Had a great time. But we hadnβt even got home before my sister called to let me know my Dadβs health had taken a serious turn and this evening my Mum let me know he has been put on end of life care now. So not good.
So it was small beans when the heating system at home sprung a leak a couple of weeks ago and my electric car charger died. But I began to think I was cursed when the plumber failed to turn up and it turned out he was in A&E with a concussion. So still no hot water at home.
Coming to terms with my car writing itself off after spending Β£2000 on repairs last year, followed by my house showing subsidence problems. All put into perspective by my daughterβs unexpected sudden emergency admission into hospital last month. Theyβre doing OK now with treatment but still a worry.
Pico C++ graphics fans may be excited to hear I just pushed my example of using psram for a full screen double buffer on the #Pimoroni #Presto to my repo. See the readme here for details as the checkout of submodules is a bit messed up in a dependency. github.com/Footleg/rpi-...
Newer sewer connection which appeared not to be taking any flow is not due to a leak. It turns out they never connected it to the house and the original sewer connection is still in use. Very strange that previous owners had all the work done to put it in and then it was never connected to house.
Progress today! Insurer have agree to pay higher quote for non-chemical treatment of tree stumps which I pushed for seeing as neighbours keep horses on land next to trees being removed. So that work can proceed. Drain survey turned everything found in last survey on it's head. Now makes more sense.
This was my early teenagerhood on the C64!
Drainage work being done at home, leak in heating and the plumber fails to turn up as a head injury put them in hospital. I took my mind off it all by spilling a full mug of coffee over my desk. Keyboard no longer works. Replacement has strange tilt and no legs to adjust it.
How's your day going?
I even got the 3D print I designed to mount the sensor stick onto the Presto published:
www.printables.com/model/132216...
A productive day sorting out all my @pimoroni.com #presto C++ code and publishing it finally. Including my touchscreen and accelerometer drivers and a set of example projects to show them in use. See the presto-projects folder here:

It's all there now, in the presto-projects folder:
