i'm having a ton of fun working on this too, this game's gonna be awesome!!
i love you so much! <333
this being 12 days ago is scary, the amount of progress me and her have done and shown thus far has been nuts. the shit you haven't seen is even crazier. i get so excited to work on this game that i bounce off the walls and shit dude lmfao
I modded Robocop: Rogue City to have some random Obama meme @cammydev.bsky.social sent me and its perfect...
@cammydev.bsky.social thank you for the screenshots
funnily enough i feel more comfortable working with lower resolution textures than doing anything higher lol

I have released a new custom room for SCP Containment Breach! Originally was gonna be apart of a bigger mod but my hands are tied with developing the game me and my wife are making. Have a blast :3

this should explain most of it, it's mostly painting shadows and highlights until it looks nice enough, i also recommend just studying textures from games you like since that's what i did a lot

ooh sounds cool, maybe i should check it out
ooh i should get around to playing resident evil 4 someday, i've been playing through the ps1 games lately and i've been liking them a lot
heres my 9 games in no particular order
tried to do one per franchise and it was kinda tricky cause so many of my favorite games are part of the same few series ~(οΏ£β½οΏ£)~*
and also i wish people gave it a proper chance but whenever i see anyone play it it's always without any fixes playing the 1.4 version that broke the ai and made them see through walls and they complain that it's too hard π
it really is! it's one of my favourite games and i wish there was a proper sequel to it rather than whatever ubisoft did, i guess crysis is a sort of spiritual successor since it retains a lot of the ideas and quirks lol
oh fuck i totally should've put minecraft somewhere in my list too
Not in any particular order (except Tools of Destruction, it'll always be my number one, lol), but here's the nine games I think have been the most important for me, and have inspired me to get into game development myself.
i'd definitely put stuff like hl2, quake 2, gta san andreas, etc. too but i wanted to keep it one game per series
very much mostly into fps's and stuff but i've been trying to branch out more lately lol
there's a lot of other games i like but these are the ones i can think of off the top of my head rn
oh i've seen that, truly wretched.... just slapping a beretta picture onto the hl1 glock model...
that first beretta model was for an old hl1 mod i was making, and i think it was one of the first models i made in blender actually (and it really, REALLY shows), the texture was just a picture i got from google that i slapped onto the side of it without even properly uv mapping it π
i've really come a long way huh (my modelling and texturing in 2021 vs 2026)
i usually don't model the trigger because you'd never see it in the first person view
I have fallen for oomf's Jill propaganda

i feel as if there are more games that built me up but i think this gives the jist of it
it's a color ramp in the palette, kinda like the explosion particles in quake :3

true, also another interesting thing is that gruntdm1 might've been in 0.52 aswell, as the build of it we have is a cut down one for the press, and the map shows up in the map list in the 0.61 document supposedly made not too long after 0.52
i love my wife. i am so happy i can spend every day with her. our game is gonna be awesome and i hope you'll like it
Carrier Shipwreck (Far Cry, PC-PS3-360, Crytek, 2004)
the first multiplayer map worked on for hl1 might've actually been stalkyard, as that shows up in some of the earliest screenshots and was also prototyped in quake
