I like that he said “costume” instead of a suit. It’s like costume in Ukrainian but a faux ami like the current U.S. leadership.
(Jk, I do)

Paddington in Dracula (1992)
I Photoshop Paddington into a movie, TV show, or pop culture until I forget: Day 1411
Speaking to the dog: Why are you looking at me like you want to ask if I’ll have your puppies? Is it because I’m making dinner?

The face my daughter just made! 😬
My daughter, 14 and a genius (imho), said last night: “Mom, did you realise that 2025 is going to start with WTF?”
…
Superb.
(Wed, Thurs, Fri)
Hooray!
I’m thrilled that Christopher has joined @therightsfactory.bsky.social fam!
14 yo daughter: There’s a guy on my bus who stares at me every day.
Me: Is he in your class?
14: No, but he’s in my grade. I only see him on the school bus.
Me: Does he creep you out?
14: Yeah.
Me: You could ask him if you put your ears on backwards.
14:
i think you should be fans of your friends. unashamedly. i think you should boost and uplift your friends every chance you get. i think it’s important to let them know that not only do you love them, but you’re also rooting for them. most of the time people need to hear it.
On the flight back to Canada, I watched COCAINE BEAR.
It’s been AGES since I’ve flinched that much while watching a movie.
Ah the early days of the “return jet lag” (for me it’s always worse the return).
I wonder how it’ll be this time?
Eiffel Tower as seen from the bus.
Last full day in Paris; what a trip it’s been!
Notre Dame Cathedral at dusk.
Back in Paris. Regardez comme elle est belle !
Photo of tiny and delicate brown bird, a wren, sitting on a twig with a blurred background.
Folklore believed little wrens possessed magical qualities and it was bad luck to kill one. Wrens were said to have pitied the dead and many stories exist of them carefully covering dead creatures with leaves and moss and other material. This gave them a reputation for compassion. I love wrens! 😊
Cherub without arms found in a church in Grignan, France.
A little excursion to see the “animated nativity scene” in the church (in Grignan) where I found these weird little cherubs without arms. Baffling.
Currently in my in-laws’ cozy home in the South of France idling because they live in the middle of nowhere, so I’m puttering, and reading, and offering to help with meals, and chattering and laughing about “tout et n’importe quoi,” and it’s truly lovely.
