Recently I tried to capture the Pleiades. The Pleiades is an open star cluster in the constellation Taurus, about 444 light-years away. Even though the Moon was nearby and more lights would have been ideal, I’m happy with this session.

First attempt at astrophotography: Andromeda. This is a stack of 158 lights (30s each, totaling 79 minutes of exposure) with calibration frames.
The result is far from perfect, but for a first try, I’m quite happy with it.

Yes I don’t know if everybody is happy nowadays. The world is getting harder and egoistic. Life is more expensive and getting an own house is more difficult. But yes, the Dutch like to have a good work-life balance.

A few years ago I lived closer to the coast. One of my favorite places is Petten aan Zee because there are large poles on the beach with a nice rocking chair. Here are some images from there!
