Im not saying its a good solution, they should definitely look into it. Its just an easy solution. it could be that they use older versions which relies on cookies or even tracker domains to generate the embedding. Where a rejection would/could block further instantiation of the embed code.

Well, they are not really wrong, i guess. If its suppose to show a google map in there, google will start tracking you for marketing as soon as the widget is loaded.

Out of curiosity, how does your ad-stitchings work? Are all ads permanent to the episode? is there streaming services involved that always stitch the current ad? Do you recompile all older episodes with new advertisings?
I have noticed some podcasts seems to have current ads on year old episodes.
