Today, thanks to the Employment Rights Act, the majority of the 2016 Trade Union Act is repealed ππ».
This means unions can focus on what they do best - organising to win better pay and conditions. Now letβs finish the job and deliver the New Deal for Working People in full.

The Employment Rights Act is one of this government's most important achievements. Now we need to see it through. @labourunionsuk.bsky.social

Looks like we're in line for a new round of Employment Rights Act alarmism.
The Times claims, from a CIPD survey, that 'more than half of businesses expected an increase in workplace conflict.'
In reality, far more employers said each measure would have no impact on conflict or would reduce it.

THE HOURS YOU ACTUALLY WORK BELONG IN YOUR CONTRACT
Everyone should have the right to a contract that reflects the hours they actually work. Labourβs Employment Rights...
Agree with Lee that everyone should have the right to a contract that reflects the hours they actually work?
Add your name to keep the pressure on the government to make sure this new right is implemented properly:

Labour made a manifesto commitment to make sure all workers have a contract that reflects the hours they actually work.
Employment Rights Act could do just that β if we keep pushing to get the details right.
Great question from Lee Barron MP at PMQs today.

The new right to a guaranteed hours contract in the Employment Rights Act could be transformational, finally ending exploitative short and zero-hour contracts.
But we must make sure we get the detail right and ensure all workers benefit.
